They aren't forced to go after certain people, they just get some kind of reward for getting a target lynched. If a target isn't acting scummy at all, they have to go after a different target or a normal vanilla townie.

I agree that the scum are encouraged to act in a way which could be detectable, but I have no doubt that that does not outweigh the benefits of getting 2 kills, especially in an otherwise vanilla 12 player game.
Remember in the second setup I gave, scum can only gain a maximum of two extra nightkills, in the event that they get both targets lynched. That only takes away one lynch from the town. It's not that huge, and scum give the town more to use. It might be best just to add one townie to that last setup, if you want to give the town an extra lynch.

I took a quick look at it. Did anyone do the math to find the normal distribution of roles? That is what I would have to look at to determine if the system is balanced or needs to be tweaked. If it is mathematically sound, then I will be all for it.
I seem to remember someone (Kelly Chen?) having an issue with random distribution of roles, or maybe that was just for cop sanities. I like the random element.
I don't really remember commenting much on Fiasco's c9++... It's not really my thing. I'm sure that sort of thing could work.
I seem to recall one point where it would be possible to generate a setup with the wrong number of players. I think he probably fixed that.
I think I found it odd that Fiasco thought a mod-confirmed innocent was more valuable than a mason or something.
Can't remember a sanity issue off the top of my head...
As far as when an open setup ceases to be open? Well, already C9 isn't open, only semi-open. I don't have a big problem with an enormous number of possibilities personally...

I just read this again, and it totally sounds like I was trying to put words into Kelly's mouth. I totally wasn't. Sorry for the sloppy wording.
Asian Gardner kill all targeters or just targeters with the intent to kill? (Not that it matters in this particular setup anyway.)
Heh, if things turn out peachy, that setup could end in one day. Mafia lycnh D1, correct vig kill and SEAG target. Even if it doesn't go down that way, I'm predicting lots of blood.
