Don't worry, this was pretty much how it went for me last week. Then Hyde put up fucking thirty and I lost.

Another three quarters from your Jets WRs and you'll have my by fifteen points and prove further to me that I'm actually an idiot for starting the Bills.

Nope, you've got me pretty easily. Fuck the Jets (even though a small part of me that actually cares about them is happy) for costing me two straight weeks.

Oh man this is bullshit.

EDIT: Holy. Fucking. Shit. That was the closest fantasy game I've ever played. Closer than the 2013 championship where I won by a single point. I had a bad week, Poker had a good one.

You didn't have a bad week. You still got 111+ points. Only about 5 points less than you got last week. My team is looking very feast or famine if you compare last week to this one. GG Wraith

Carson Palmer is on my bench and doing better this season than Andrew Luck. Whats the world coming to? There may be weeks outside Andrews bye that I start Palmer with how things look.

Bleh, second-most points in the league but tenth place in record.

Also, looking to trade Flacco in L3 for a WR.

Seriously though, fuck the Jets doing well. I'm a Jets fan IRL, but thanks to them I'm 0-2 (they killed my defense last week, and Decker/the other guy this week.

Mith this week, hopefully Luck has another sucky week!

A week where my defense gets zero and Forte gets barely double-digits is a bad week for me.

It should be noted that I started Buffalo this week and won by .04 points. And I did not start buffalo last week (started cleveland) and lost by 12 points or so.

So buffalo might not be your main problem whoever was complaining about them

I think I know why I lost. Yahoo scores defenses differently from ESPN (I also had MIA D/ST in my ESPN league and they got 1 point) - ESPN starts a defense at 11 points and subtracts for points allowed as the game goes on, giving bonus points for stuff like sacks, fumble recoveries, etc. of course. Yahoo starts defenses at zero and only adds points for stuff like sacks, fumble recoveries, etc. It subtracts points for truly excessive points allowed (~30+). Miami did nothing other than allow points (yet didn't allow enough to subtract points).

If yahoo didn't have such a dumb system of scoring I would've won.

I'm not even upset losing with 91. It's usually much worse than that. Like I get 120 and the only guy to get 140 is my opponent or something like that.

The stat tracker of yahoo shows all defenses at 10 at the start of the game. And then subtracts points for your defense being scored on and adds points for sacks, fumbles, etc. I believe espn default starts at 10 as well. Is that 11 a typo or does your league start at 11 and not run defaults?

If your other league does run espn default than I don't understand the difference still

Starts at 11. I guess that's the difference then.

Did espn switch to a start at 11 system in recent years or are you not running defaults?

For the record, I am very much against changing a player's lineup for a reason like this. It's up to Aronis to check that he has a kicker starting. (It didn't end up mattering in our matchup, but it very easily could have.)

It is worth reminding everyone that
picking up a player through waiver or trade will never automatically put that player in your lineup
(nor would you want Yahoo to do that in many cases).

Look, I obviously meant to pick up Tyrod Taylor and start him as my QB instead of Drew Brees. That would have been a very successful move on my part and since I'm aiming to succeed, it makes sense that I meant to do that. The fact that I didn't was just a technicality that should corrected by Commissioner mith.

Please fix.

I mean I guess it's not the defaults. Every ESPN league I've been in in the past three years has been 11 though.

Did I miss when ESPN changed their defensive rankings to be 5 pts for 0 points allowed, and then a certain # of points based on yards allowed?

I thought it was always that plus 2 for each turnover and something for sacks and def TDs/return TDs

Ummm, thanks. But if mith's upset about it you can just give him back his win. I was just more upset with me/yahoo, than actually wanting it to be fixed or whatever. sorry if that came across wrong.
