She hasn't really lead any scum lynches this game, or anything. And while you could say mastin is a strong town player, she's said repeatedly that this isn't one of her best games, so...

Well, BEST game is a hard milestone to reach given some of my past feats, soyeah, not a 'best' game, but actually, this has been a pretty good game. I may not have

pushed

a scum lynch, but I've had a pretty accurate scumdar overall so while I haven't pulled my weight around, I still think I've done a good job.

I mean, my readslist may not be perfect, but I do want to more or less go through it lynch by lynch, and Molla's pretty much at the bottom right now, thus, my vote.

sorry i've been quiet. frogger's v/la until friday. mastin attacking me from the "plot hasn't been as terrible at mafia as expected therefore must be scum" angle was below the belt and hurt my feelings and it took me a couple days to calm down. I don't think she meant it the way I took it but I'm still a bit sensitive about something that I don't want to talk about in public I guess.

@Mastin: This game was affected by the confidence stuff too and I very nearly replaced out of all of my games in early September but frogger convinced me to stay and we brainstormed ways to make it fun again at a time when mafia was doing really bad things to my head and there was a while when I could only handle interacting by posting frog pictures to cheer people up but it worked eventually but basically the only reason we've done as well as we have is that frogger has carried us.

I want to have this conversation with you but can we have it toMorrow, please?

I have a feeling we're going to need wall back and forth with each other for a while, and another feeling that nobody but us is going to want to read that back and forth, and an idea for a mechanic in future games that I mod that would get around the problem of two people needing to talk and eight people not wanting to read, but it does need to happen.

I can point at various things we did on various days that we wouldn't have done if we weren't bulletproof, our twilight play especially on various nights and also some thing I said very early on but I'd rather wait until frogger is back and we decide how much we want to clarify. I tried to talk to him about it but literally all he has said in the hydra pt about the topic is "v/la until friday" so I hope everything's okay for him and that it's just unexpected work stuff or something :/

But at this stage, might be best to lynch in the VTs.
I firmly believe that Blue Blur is town.
If Plotfrog is a serial killer, then the scum will want them gone a lot more than we do.
If ika is scum, then it will become obvious with time--plus, the arsonist will want him gone a lot more than we do. And if ika is town, scum want him gone sooner rather than later.
In other words, unless we get a PR claim, I think lynching a VT is the best bet.

And of them, I still think elusive was massively town no matter how meh-inducing Firebringer's play has been, and I still think Oversoul's play has been town. 'Course, that would carry the implication that I'm wrong on one or both of Maxwell/Flubber, but honestly at this stage I wouldn't mind that.

Still, though. Cross that bridge when we come to it. I want a Molla lynch today because I still think Molla holds the highest chance of flipping scum. The slot's basically the one with the least going for it the entire game.

I agree that Blue Blur is and Elusive was (and Firebringer by extension) town. I need to do numbers thing for Oversoul but Frogger was still convinced he's scum and was annoyed with me for moving our vote to ika.

I also think that scum is likely in the VT pool because of something oversoul said on day 1. He said "lol at VTs becoming ICs in this setup" and Titus clarified that town anything can be VT so there can be 5-8 VTs,

but

if there happened to be only 5 VTs then they would all become innocent children. I think scum want to prevent that from happening so one of the scum would claim VT. Oversoul was thinking about that really early, and that's part of why we were/are suspicious of him. We didn't think an actual VT would be worried about whether the VTs would be conftown or not that early.

But I can see someone more experienced like molla having the sense to not speculate about it out loud and just wait to see if another VT claim was neccessary or not to prevent 3 surprise conftown on day 7. MollaSlot has been under our radar mostly, but I can tell you that

For the record, I think Oversoul's initial stance may have been his way of saying he was expecting to be conftown.

That's possible bravado from scum, but I don't think so.

I need to take another look at Flubber to see if Flubber's town or not, butyeah, still thinking molla's best bet for scum.

That's possible too! I remember metal sonic saying something about oversoul being town for activity levels and oversoul said yeah that's true, if i'm not posting at the rate of a dead penguin then i'm town ... and then he kinda disappeared for a while about a month after he said that and now he

posting at dead penguin rates but I haven't sat down with his ISO and numbersed it yet so idk. Also my only experience with Oversoul was in mini 1675 where I was mafia and he was a survivor so that I don't know him all that well, I'm mostly relying on what he himself has said about his meta and what activity means for him and games that I skimmed like We the Purple.

Molla's play here isn't really reminding me of WDPT all that much but he's a replacement in this game and that one game was my only experience with him. I guess I could point to him promising to make a case on you and never getting around to it and how here he's promising to get his head into the game and never getting around to it but it feels weak. i just don't have a strong read on his slot either way and it's mostly setup spec/persivul's interactions but I'll trust you on this one.

Perhaps, If it'd had only been suggested once, I'd be inclined to agree with you, but having suggested it multiple times, it's enough that I feel the need to continue to keep a heavy eye on Oversoul.
Outside of that I'm looking at: Peregrine, who's beginning I was not a fan of at all, and hasn't done much to rectify that.
Prolapsed: Who hasn't posted much at all in the way of content
Bulbazoor: Who's recent play makes me content not to move my previously RVS vote off of him

How much do you wanna bet this isn't an all-town list? Especially the latter three?

My primary town reads are Banana Frog, Muffin, and Maxwell whose thought processes seem the most logical to me from a town perspective.

Figured I'd bring this up. Could be all town, could also mean Maxwell could be scum, but worth bringing up for further investigation.

For the rest of he people voting me. I'm still reading Banana Frog and Muffin hard town, and to me Flubbernugget's thought process has been pretty transparent, so I'm going lean town.

So I basically read all of Flubber's iso.
And when Flubber's voting scum slots it looks like bussing.
When he's not voting scum slots, it looks like distancing.
He did plenty of stuff like switching off of the Constantine wagon, doubting the Gratuitous wagon, and whatnot.

Plus, if PV (Molla) is scum, his distancing-not-bussing applies there, too. (I know, preflip associative, so, etc.)

pedit: ok, thanks for clarifying. i just i don't know. i don't feel voting ika anymore, i'm not ready to move the vote back to oversoul without doing some more work on my end even though that's where frogger wants the vote to be, i can see a world in which molla's scum but i don't really have strong opinions about it.

I came into the day phase still mainly think ika/oversoul with a chance of pisskop and now there's all this setup spec in the way and I hate basing reads on setup spec even though I'm kinda doing it because, you know, brantz was town because no way scum would have a 3-shot pseudocider, and bbmolla was town because no way scum would have a nightskipper miller, and narninian was town because of his kill redirector claim and oranje crush was town because of their commuter claim.

My hatred for massclaims largely springs from that game (and also a couple scumgames of mine that were made a lot easier due to massclaims. Do you want to hear the story about the day 1 mass hypo flavour claim in which everyone listed 20 characters they could be and what their abilities might be but they did it so badly that by night 3 we didn't need our flavourcop anymore? And I'm getting better at setup spec, going through the normal review process helped, but I'm still not particularly gifted at it.
