Was wondering when we were getting the quadz post. Page 2, you're slipping!

At least there are jobs in the UK in actual cities. I'm in another remote town of about 3000 this year because of a hugely competitive job market in Canada

Absolutely. The only thing to which we'll need to commit in the any-kind-of-near future is whether or not enough people will be attending for us to need to book two cabins rather than one and I would be pretty surprised at this point if we don't have enough to be sure about that. Specifics can be delayed until people know what they're doing.

God, I wish. I moved to Saskatchewan to get a job. If given the choice between Saskatchewan and England, I know where my heart is going to lead me :P

I'm very likely going to be in your situation in about 2 years time! This is heavily correlated to that whole extended teaching program :P

I will probably do anything to avoid up north tho.

Oooh... I hope all these maybes and probablys become yesses, this is some exciting meet times! Wonderful new UK scummers, renowned internationals, and most beloved returners too!

The timing of the meet means that afterwards CES and I will be going straight on to the National gaming championships in Manchester, 1-3 April. If anyone wants to come along for this you'd be most welcome to join our team. It's not only for students, and it's not so much a formal competitive event as a fun weekend of gaming, quizzes and other geeky challenges.

Also, if any international scummers want to extend their trip and do some sightseeing, we'd be happy to host and/or to join you, provided the dates are before 25th or after 3rd.

I also live in Manchester so you'll have three more days to potentially look at my face while I pretend to be town aligned. I promise I'm not a lyncher this time.

That is tempting indeed. With no other major meets seemingly on the horizon next year, I can probably swing a longer Easter break...

Man, I wish I could swing that. Looks like a really great time. Unfortunately, my Easter Break here is only a week, so I have to leave on the 1st at the latest. Saskatchewan is hard enough to get to from inside Canada, let alone from the UK.

I think I'm good, but we'll see. Bridge is a different weekend this year, and it's actually during my easter break :)

How close are we to setting a date? I need to start getting a passport and time off to be ready for Spring.
One time, back in 'nam, Sudo was set upon by an entire squadron of charlies. He challenged them all to a game of Pictionary, which he won resoundingly. The charlies were forced to not only surrender the skirmish, but also their world-famous chili recipe, which Sudo sold to Texas for a hefty profit. Sudo is a master of diplomacy.

I am about 80% sure its the dates in the first post. Which Im pretty sure is going to be roughly where everyone is at currently. It's when both the cottages we rent out are free and when our teachers able to make, so unless something crazy happens, I'd be looking at then.

Will badger Nexus about booking to nail down the dates in the OP, but I'm pretty sure it'll be then unless someone has booked since we last checked.
