Already said Titus should actually be analysing the initial Skybird (aka choof) claim if she thinks there's something wrong there.
You mean where I accuse Skybird of coaching Veegee.
FNs in my book are guilty until proven innocent.
Second, Skybird cannot be guilty unless VeeGee also is guilty.
Third, there's no reason to push on Skybird when he will prove himself scum or have an accident (dead target, role blocked, sent to a buddy, anyway). As much as I think the FNs will be a circle jerk/scum protection ring, that's the logic people are going with so I cannot get a skybird lynch.
Problem is that if VeeGee flips scum it's doesn't say anything equivocal about Skybird's alignment. And you still have the problem that Skybird's slot claimed it first.
I'm thinking that there are either legitimately 2 FN roles in this game, or there are none. And the none option is rabbit-hole stuff.
But like you say events will shed more light on it.
Regarding your VeeGee argument - if Skybird's town and VeeGee is scum then it makes not a lot of difference whether he botched the paraphrasing of the receive message intentionally or otherwise.
I suppose he could do it to try to get a free FN lynch and then say it was a legitimate mistake (because he actually got the message). Or if he did flip scum it would cast further suspicion on Skybird due to the sketchy nature of the reveal.
But it's also an argument that other-scum could use to try to get a free FN lynch if they were bussing VeeGee. And the only realistic reason to be voting VeeGee over Skybird if you disbelieve the FN claim is to get a town-flip from Veegee to prove your suspicion wrong.
