First day was awesome and exciting. Not strictly good, but hardly boring.

BKT did their best TSM impression and threw away a lead good teams shouldnt. Super sad we didnt get a tiebreak between EDG and H2K

H2K put up a good showing. They would have probably had a fair shot if they weren't in the group they were in. But nonetheless the group was predictable/

The only way TSM has a chance to get out is if they beat KT and at least go 2-1 otherwise. Origen and LGD honestly don't matter unless they massively under or overperform, respectively (since it's 3-0, 2-1, 1-2, 0-3). They need that tiebreaker chance to stay afloat, no matter what.

Problem is, they probably won't get an early game against KT like they did last time.

It's really sad that this time it's possible that only 1 western team will even make it out of groups (Origen). Yes, C9 is 3-0 but that could turn around just as fast, especially if Fnatic gets their heads back on straight. If they can hold off AHQ then they might be okay, but.

I think 2-3 Western teams will get out. I think Origen is guaranteed to make it out. C9, and FNC can both probably make it out out of group B. IG and AHQ are good but I think if Fnatic gets their shit together and C9 keeps up their performance, the two can make it out, especially if C9 goes 2-1 (1 loss to Fnc, leaving them 5-1) and Fnc goes 3-0 (Ending 4-2). Fnc can afford to go 2-1 as long as they either A) lost to C9 and C9 doesn't drop games to the other two teams or B) If the team they lost to doesn't win the AHQ vs IG (still assuming C9 doesn't drop a game to either)

Speculations Speculations, but I do think C9 can keep up their performance at least until end of groups, and Fnatic can make a good comeback. Even if Fnatic goes 2-1 and one of AHQ/IG also goes 2-1, they can still hope to win a tiebreak. But I don't think Fnatic can make it out if AHQ OR IG go 3-0. It will be an interesting group since anybody can make it out with three teams 1-2.

It's also bound to be OG/KT Rolster making it out of Group D. LGD MUST go 3-0 to even stand a chance of getting out, and even then they'd have to win a tiebreak. TSM looks formidable but is still the weakest team in the group, they might take a game off but i don't think they can outshine KT. For LGD to make it out at least 2nd place, they have to go 3-0, Origen has to go 2-1, and TSM has to beat KT. Then LGD can go at 2nd place without doing a tiebreaker, otherwise they do a tiebreaker vs KT (or Origen if they shit the bed)

I think OG has 3 tough matches ahead, hopefully should be able to beat TSM on raw skill alone so that even if shit hits the fan they at least get that game. I think esspecially imp is out for blood from LGD. Last game vs them was hardly a walkover and although I think LGD was better there than in the later games (tilt?), it still wasn't what LGD could do. Anyway, if LGD beats KT, they still have something to play for, so that game is key for origin's score as well, I think. If LGD win that (and that's possibly going to be harder than against origin, KT looks solid, while OG is overperforming and has soaz/peke/mithy on one team). I do not trust mithy to deliver as he has in the long run (hell, even himself doesn't seem to) and as soon as you need a "worlds buff" to explain someone's performance you accept that you actually don't know why he didn't do it in the normal league (and it might just happen again)

But where OG at least can fall back one or the other player stepping up against tsm and make it, I could see c9 lose games as quickly as they won them. The showed one strategy, total, and sneaky can only do so much. Maybe they got more in their bag, but they'll have to show that. I would be rather disappointed if someone in Fnatic hadn't done some good oldfashioned shouting. But that one is going to be fun to see, whether fnatic can turn that around.

Welp, TSM's done. Now they have to get 3-3 and hope KT goes 0-3 or 1-2. There's one win if they beat KT (that still holds true), but KT has to lose to OG and beat LGD (to avoid LGD coming back 3-0) or just never win this week, which is very unlikely.
