My vote today is likely not going to achieve anything. I do not like any of the main wagons. Where I put it then is indeed just a matter of seeing what happens and showing I wouldn't mind voting them. As there's little to no pressure associated with it, I doubt I'll get all that much out of Reck, he's been really calm all game anyway. It is indeed pretty w/e, as you observed.
