That's extremely dumb. I like your uncle and don't want anyone quitting on vanilla because it's been extremely fun so far and he's the person I interact with the most since we both get on at the same times.
Ask him how much coal he lost. I'm not an OP but I have a ridiculously large amount of resources and can replace what he lost with ease. We may need to install bukkit and get a mod to see who goes through certain chests or to protect certain chests. Noone's stolen from me (I think? I honestly can't tell because I have 3 houses and keeping up with everything at each is too much for me) but I'd rather not have that become an issue.
I'm going to get in contact with Maru about what we can do about this, Klaz.

This is bullshit. I asked his permission to terraform the area around his house. He told me i could do whatever as long as i didnt break into his animal pen. We were're online together and he showed me where the animals were underground and everything. Maru can probably go find that conversation in the server logs? I even brought him a cow for breeding bc he only had 1. So maybe there was a misscommunication about what he thought i was doing, but i was just following the riverbed.
As for the cobble walls I'll take the blame for that. I thought it would look better than a dirt wall from the outside. I was carefull not to screw up his stuff except for replacing a little bit of dirt wall with cobble wall. So, I'm sorry for that and I'll reverse it if he didnt already.
If I'm also being accused of stealing stuff, we'll i didn't steal shit. If it's mostly coal I'd ask him if he misremembered how much he had or used more than he thought making jack-o-lanterns for his skyroad. Accusing someone of stealing is pretty serious shit and everytime I've ever thought something was stolen I've ultimately realized i either used what was missing or moved it somewhere else.

Well when I used it I had to get like .... 40-50+ sippy flowers in order to have a somewhat functioning furnace .... This was a while ago so maybe something changed but a single big of coal on one of those flowers that burned stuff just about replaced my whole sippy tower ....
I think it seems like a weak way to balance it, but I don't know. I haven't played modded in what a year?
I had quite a large amount of iron stolen at some point, (or someone blew up the chest idk). I'd also be willing to help out there as that seriously sucks.

I think it's a little of both. This host has hosted quite a few of the past iterations of both modded and non-modded MS servers, we've had pretty good results with them afaik.

I'm not really fluent on how bukkit currently works in whatever iteration it is in but i have been tracking sponge pretty hardcore and it seems quite promising. If they update to 1.9 shortly after 1.9 is released, we may see about using it. In the meantime, the best way for me to identify culprits is if people give me timeframes of when they KNOW they had the item last, and when they first noticed it missing, and we can compare it against users logged in in that time window. If the stealing happens often enough we can pinpoint who is doing it.
Everyone remember to make sure your friends understand we are NOT like every other minecraft server. We are a closed-community co-op server where shit like this is NOT permitted. Will take a further look into this later this week when i get a bit more stable internet access

Fiancee tore the second level off my desk. Looks much better now. She had the desktop running when I got home, loading up some modded minecraft on that. Still runs so much better on this then my laptop. Wonder why.
