This really can't even be twisted into an argument that he's town, far as I can see. I'm not going to speculate on what particular kind of bullshit's in this game either if that's what you want.

There are two pairs of lovers in the game. If you think that Starbuck and mollie are town, that means that scum has a pretty big potential for 2 bonus kills in this game. A role that can protect a lover from dying would balance that out.

Not wanting to dive into setup speculation is understandable enough, but ignoring it completely is dumb.

Nacho, your last few posts made me think of a ridiculously massive sandwich, they were so meaty.

Who else are you thinking about lynching today? I'm sort of concerned by how the game is going because no kills because there are more anti-town roles than I'd expect in a normal game, and don't really think strongarming old suspicions is such a great idea unless we are actually putting effort into reanalyzing them.

I dunno, man. I probably need to reevaluate at least a bit because I've actually gotten to that point where I'm seeing scum spewing out of pretty much every Starbuck post. This usually means I've gone off the deep end and need rescue

Of the above, I'd probably go Spiffeh or Ythan. Some not-so-deep dark part of me wants to lynch DGB but I still have these lingering town-feels coming from her reaction to being wagoned at the end of D1 and her target for her ability. Whether she's able to fake that sort of thing is something we can talk about. LLD's play just makes my head spin. The causing chaos bit seemed reasonably town, as did the miller claim (this is bad I know but I have a soft spot for people that aren't retarded about playing a miller), but I can't actually recall her doing anything outside of that which is concerning. Part of me says "she wouldn't play this way as scum" and another part says "she would play this way as scum because this playerlist knows her pretty well". I hate being so goddamn waffly, but there it is.

Spiffeh and Ythan. Let's start with Spiffeh. I originally rather liked him for how he was strangling the shit out of Starbuck but on reread he's shallow as fuck. Not only that but a lot of the things he says seems to have no other motivation other than to cast suspicion: 388 and 893 for example. I played with ol' Spiff in Blitz 2 a couple weeks ago and his questions had depth and his analysis was pretty evident. None of that here.

And then there's Ythan. This dood has done dick-all this entire game except tunnel-fuck the shit out of me. Nuff said.

And yes, the major reason why my Starbuck townread started falling apart was because of emotionalism.

Her near death play if scum was AtE+++ and I don't really think it's the type of play most scum players can emulate when they are going down, and I certainly don't remember Starbuck as the type of player who has oodles of fight when she's going down, and a cursory reading of a month old scumgame shows my memory doesn't really fail me. I don't see Starbuck as scum going "good game if you're scum, lover" and "spiffeh, I think you're town, but when I flip town, I think that you're going to look absolutely terrible but I hope that doesn't happen" unless she's learned some shiny new tricks since her last scum game; rereading her shows her accusing people of pushing her because she's gone, AtE, AtE, AtE, and pushing all of this when she's going through long shifts and pet deaths just seems kind of ridiculous and not exactly a time for a breakout scumgame.

I need to actually go skim the game you linked but this seems like a pretty reasonable explanation for Starbuck-town.
