I know, you have. I didn't mean you specifically, just that if anyone else wants to join the anti-readslists group they still need to keep us updated on who they're scumreading.


I guess where i'm at is that i don't want to lynch him while he's v/la but i don't want to lynch anyone based on preflip associatives with him because that's backwards, but everyone else is sort of v/la too for the holiday.

I'm trying to decide whether it would be worse for the game to stall while we wait for frank to get back or worse to spend 6 days hunting for his buddy which could be wasted if it turns out we're wrong about him. Hunting for partners on day 1 is silly but voting someone who isn't here doesn't do much. My other scumread is similarly inactive, and that read is much weaker, and if Aurora or Coffee were scum we'd have no way of knowing since they're not talking much.

I'm currently in "can it be that easy?" mode and the answer to that is usually "no" but I'm not sure how much going in circles will resolve that for me.

But it's important not to talk about ongoing games, not even a little bit. We can reference someone's general activity levels "is posting elsewhere but not here", "isn't posting anywhere else", and we can say how many games someone is alive in, but anything more than that is too much.

I'm not sure if your post crosses the line or not but it is good to be on the safe side.

Hello everyone! This is my first game of forum mafia, which I am excited to be playing. I read a game already so I have a general idea of what to do, but don't expect me to be very good. I probably can remain active over Christmas, so I might be able to make up for the lack of posts by other people. Once I read the thread and some ISO's, I will post my reads and replies to the people here.

Heh, I think I can explain why I try not to make outright judgments.

Pretty much the only experience I have with mafia is through Town of Salem (the game itself, not the forums). In Town of Salem, each day is about 3 minutes long, and there is a quick discussion and voting phase after the night activity has been revealed. What I usually try to do there is put some ideas out there about who could be scum without explicitly stating "I think this person is scum," and then some other person would take what I said and make the accusation for me. At that point, since there isn't a lot of time to consider what's been said, the town will hastily lynch the person. Now, if that person ended up being town, whoever accused them would be blamed, not me (even though it was basically my idea). That's the kind of mentality I came into this game with.

I'm still getting used to the whole idea of scumhunting, so sorry if it seems like I'm not doing it enough in that regard. I guess it's a good idea to vote franksa and illicit some reaction.
