His issue with nero was really, really strange (smother [titus] with a pillow) and to push that as a reason to lynch is bad. When talking about why Elyse would try to 1v1 as an innocent child, I stated the obvious answer: She knew she would win regardless of what happened and thought titus was scum. However, he pushed on as if this wasn't the true meaning. Ended up contesting that gut was a bad reason to pull that. While sure, this is true, there's no reason to question it considering Elyse is now mod-confirmed town. Contesting it altogether ended up in a 'your read was bad, you wasted a power' sort of lecture, which could simply discourage a confirmed town from taking any action.

Didn't understand why Nero came in 'predicting a fight' when the answer appeared pretty obvious. They quarrel a lot, pretty obvious even though I play with neither of them regularly. Nothing in Nero's statements was baiting Titus to fight, both were plainly ready to argue regardless.

Lastly, when we started the day he toyed with Elyse being scum for the 1v1 titus on inevitable lynch, then stated I could be scum, or that both of us could be scum. Playing for a lot of lynches with very little town reads. His issue? We both voted him off his original issue with Nero, calling our votes opportunistic when his vote was... stretching at best, and opportunistic definitely being descriptive of it.

Ok here is the important bit.

It is a widely accepted rule of modding that it is in poor taste for a game to be allowed to start without any scum in play. This is due to various concerns mostly regarding that scumhunting gets fucked with and quick lynches are assured of not hitting scum. Therefore when deciding at what point to allow the start of the game, mods count scum and pick the amount of scum +1. This ensures there is at least one scum confirmed at game start.

So combining this with the above quote means we have 6 scum. Having a 6 person scumteam in an 18 player game seems incredibly off balance-wise. How is this balanced out? By having them split across a second scum team. Two three man teams is much more balanced. A tad town sided I think but that is easily offset by some scum power. A much more believable setup.

Ok so what does this mean for the game?

It means that the usual method of using lack of conviction in reads and other such tells that revolve around the fact that scum have to fake scumhunting are all out the window. Scum need to scumhunt too. It also changes other things. For example Shiro's 2335 just above is negated by asking how two people are meant to influence a wagon off someone in an 18 players game to the point where it stagnates a potential lynch target. What that tells me is that the friction is town sided, and so there is nothing usable from the observation. Pig might be scum, but it's not because of the difficulty the wagon is having getting off the ground.

The comments on Elyse are just bad. Elyse plays with me, fairly regularly. Any player that does, can handle Drixx telling her she was sucking.

The middle paragraph is a lie. Drixx's assessment is how I felt. Notice how Nero isn't scumhunting. It's all whiny crap. I never wanted a fight with Nero.

The worst thing about AJ's posting recently is Dave scum requires Nero scum but Nero's chip on his shoulder could just be that large.


@espy, the number of confirms don't relate to multiball or single all in any game I mod. This ain't multiball. Too much resistance to lynching scummy people. Stop playing under that assumption and you'll see Dave AJ Nero is messed up as fuck.

@shiro, you mean the people who would vote Mario and not AJ who collectively started a wagon on pignash and I am supposed to fell good about it? Nah. Pignash is likely town. Doesn't it strike you odd that the same people voting Pignash are completely the ones stalling out an AJ lynch when everyone else for the most part looked pretty townie? I am not voting pignash.
