RC said your disengage in 141 is a scum tell. Your explanation in 147 doesn't explain why 141 wasn't scummy. You don't need to announce that you're not posting for awhile, so doing so feels like self-conscious scum.

I definitely feel less overwhelmed trying to read one person versus trying to read everyone, so if that's what you mean by "safer," then yes.

As to your second--we were in the middle of a conversation and my brain basically refused to produce anything. Next time I'll be sure to disappear in order to seem less self-conscious, if that makes you happy. Like ??? I don't get where you're coming from with this, really.
