Because in that scenario why wouldn't you just be telling everyone Titus was clean? If Dwlee only had to get one pair of scum-town and he stayed in the game, with Ari being confirmed mason, Titus would be clean.

Each night, I loverize two people.

These people are loverized for the following day and night.

They are informed of being loverized.

I need to loverize two pairs of people in which one is athenian, and one is fairy in order to win.

When I win I leave the game.

Fuck me I can't even see Titus get lynch for the chance she isn't scum so we avoid potentially having 2 mislynches but I don't want to kill our Mason so I might as well die first if we are going to be wasting our time.
Hopefully me flipping town says something about Titus but at the very least we are saving Aris if I die.
