I try to keep pages specifically for the 5 main roles. I have thought about making pages for subsets (top bruiser and top tank, support mage and support tank), but I might not)

It's literally 11 clicks. It's super fast and super easy. Clear, click your 10 masteries, save. That's it.

I used to have a mastery page for everything, now I just have one that I keep changing. In the end, I think critically looking at every two options in the tree is worth it then having a preset that might not 100% fit. And once youll get used to it it wont take extra time

I have two mastery pages that I use, even though I have 20 full, unique pages made:

One that's 0/12/18 for tank supports (thresh), one for ~everything else~ that I change constantly in about two seconds from game to game.

well you can't change that in game. But have you tried right clicking the rune you want to add? It adds it quickly.

We definitely were talking about need, you said you feel 20 mastery pages isn't enough. I say if Riot changed the number to only 1 mastery page, everyone would be able to function just fine.

You can get away with two rune pages just fine. Standard AD and Standard AP will work for 95% of champs, with exceptions for like fiddlesticks and shaco probably.

If you're looking to get the perfect runes for every champ, 20 won't work - but that's not worth your time over getting other champs.

on my alternate account i have 3 rune pages, and I dont' regret the IP I spent on that despite it being a fairly IP poor account because having a tank rune page is nice.

I guess an AD, AP, and Tank runepage would be fine.

Definitely agreed - but it's not absolutely necessary - most tanks actually have decent enough AP scalings that some MPen and AP are worthwhile, and the few AD tanks tend to like BC.

they periodically send out surveys to a portion of their population. It's almost never to everyone.

Last one I got seemed more like a quiz than a survey. IT described the new hextech crafting and then proceeded to ask me lots of questions about how it worked. I guess the idea was to see if it was too complicated.
