Here is what I think so far.
the wagon on Knightmare gained momentum way too fast for my liking, I believe it is POSSIBLE (not entirely likely, just plausible) that most of the people on said wagon were either mafia or ww trying to get an easy lynch so they can get killing. I especially dislike drmyshottyizsik's L-1 vote, had a mafia/ww seen it, they might have just hammered. Seems a bit too opportunistic/eager to get a claim that can be either countered (to reveal the seer) or to have someone claim VT which would make them an easy target for the "it is too hard to prove" crowd, as I have seen in previous games where I myself claimed VT.

The thing is.. I DO sometimes DELIBERATELY play a "little" scummy. Reasons may vary between me being a VT trying to smoke cover an obvious PR, to me being a PR trying to avoid getting NK'd on N1, to tricking scum into saying/doing something I conceive as revealing of them, to "just for the fun of it" (this last one is mostly done elsewhere, not on MS, bc "elsewhere" we are a small community and we all know eachother well having played together a lot, so it's fun to make it hard for them to read me in the opening two pages).

Frankly I'd have to do an ISO to remember (I've got a memory of a cockroach). Here's what I usually do though:

I put down the list of players with a blank (white) background. Everytime someone says/does something "town" I upgrade them a shade (green, then light blue, then blue, then dark blue). Everytime someone says/does something scummy I downgrade them a shade (yellow, orange, light pink then dark pink). If it's a minor thing I use +/- instead of changing the bg colour though, but if I get +++ it warrants an upgrade.

The thing is I only write down major stuff that could/would be used to make a case. Minor stuff and/or mostly town stuff I don't write down bc I don't need to make a case against someone I'm town reading.

It's a bit confusing; I know.. but it works fine with me. Right now my top 3 scum reads are shotty, N_M & Kop, but I don't feel p○7rticul○7rly strong on either of them. My top town read is Mario followed by kelbris. Everone else is null/undecided.

I'll give you an example that does not relate to this game: Somebody crunched a PR. I got their hint, but it looked like nobody else did. I wasn't interested in lynching them, but I -also- wasn't going to explain why. I didn't want the whole set of players to know he was a certain PR, so it was enough that I stated I town read them.

Trying to interpret the Ranger read the way I usually do would lead me to vote Mario. The problem here is he is the strongest town read on my own list.

I did notice this. I checked yesterday on all 3 of you to see if I could clear someone by virtue of them not being active when/if a kill did occur and wasn't on me (or even if it was on me bc I always lurk on the dead thread biting nails and making speculations anyway!).

I don't know what to think. I'd probably vote Mario based on him moving down the Ranger read list rapidly and the fact he didn't vote for a rapid night phase. Frankly I was leaning towards you -GRob- because you were the one who didn't have any activity all over the site for the night period, so it made sense you didn't kill. However, with the confirmation it was Mario who didn't submit that request it makes sense you submitted yours and went away if you had no other games going on (I don't know if you do).

Not_Mafia's hammer last day phase pretty much clears him in my eyes. The funny thing is before that I had Mario as my strongest town read of the still-alive bunch (i.e. aside from Dwlee who is now dead). I also have this "bizarre" way of thinking: vote the strongest town read if they're still UNCONFIRMED by D4, so that's another thing that points me to Mario (it's my way of double-checking my reads to avoid conf!bias).

Almost, talk to me about why N_M hammer makes you think he's clear?

He hammered scum, and then Dwlee had a little conversation with him that gave me the impression N_M was a town player who liked to take risks. I did something similar elsewhere and I was town who got too anxious and really believed I was hammering scum (and I was).

Trust me: Ranger's reads are not meant for direct reading as-is. They are much more meaningful if you watch their progress and see who started down and climbed up the rating (that's more likely a townie), and who started higher and has been moving downwards (that's most likely scum). That IS why I'm suggesting Mario is scum rather than N_M. It's more of a dynamic read of the list.

As I said, I developed a way to read Ranger's read lists dynamically. The thing is I can only apply it if/when I KNOW she's town, so I can't do it with much confidence while she's still alive. Many thanks to the scum team for NKing Ranger early so that I could use her reads with confidence!

But seriously, scum now will face this dilemma with Ranger: If they kill her early she's confirmed and her reads are a good reference for those who know how to read them. If they keep her alive she'd be a thorn in their side and is likely to lynch them one by one. (If neither happens, she might as well be scum herself!!)
