I don't like the take SOI is going. For starters, I've never been a fan of flip cards. Also, as much as I love Jace, there's just not enough of the rest of the Jacetice League. How am I supposed to UG in SOI? No Nissa, most G are werewolves (ugh) and blue is looking very meh.
Honestly, SOI seems to be my least favorite set since Khans. At least Khans had some neat mythical. I haven't seen anything that screams "holy crap, I need to buy like 50 of them"“Why was I chosen?'

Please don’t be disrespectful of the story. You might not care but others do. /Maro
In seriousness, I have to disagree. I love DFCs. They add so much flavor to the set. The set looks super fun to me, there seem to be a lot of interesting directions to go in draft.jdodge1019: hasjghsalghsakljghs is from vermont

Ok, I for one think that the Jacetuce league pseudonym is endearing. I like the turn the story is taking.
But anyway, my first sets were the Theros sets, so I started with cards that bounced off of each other (constellation was one of my favorite mechanics I've seen) so cards that just exist on their own like dual sided ones don't appeal to me.“Why was I chosen?'

I like the Jacetice League name too, was just quoting Maro.
I think you'll be pleasantly surprised by how well the cards synergize, even without it being "just play a bunch of enchantments". It's a bit less obvious, but things like discard outlets enabling Delirium and Madness at the same time is a fun synergy. Then it's fun to just play with double-faced cards, since you have to balance wanting them to flip with making sure you're still developing your board, and your opponent has to balance not wanting them to flip with knowing that they can't necessarily stopyoufrom not playing a card and flipping them so they have to be able to play two spells in a turn.jdodge1019: hasjghsalghsakljghs is from vermont

I do like the spells that have discard costs to play. That's an addition I do enjoy. Problem is, as typical with Innistrad blocks, blue is weaker in this set, while black and white are much more powerful.“Why was I chosen?'

Innistrad: Blue is nerfed! Snapcaster is meh and you can easily block that 2/2 Geist! You need to run a million spells for Delver too so don't bother.
RTR: Blue is nerfed! Sphinx's Rev is just a worse Blue Sun Zenith!
Theros: Blue is nerfed! Master of Waves is trash, you lose the tokens and he dies to most removal!
Khans: Blue is nerfed! Dig is alright I guess but Treasure Cruise is too expensive!
Can't think of a good BFZ example to be fair but you get the idea.If you don't know how to lie, then how do you know when you're being lied to?

Really? I thought RTR made Blue way more viable with all the sphinxes.
Theros had plenty of good blue, as well. Archetype of Imagination was great provided your opponent didn't have plument or similar, and thassa's devourer and countermand are decent for secondary mill decks.“Why was I chosen?'

Blue was the second best color in the set after green? There's a reason(besides Spider Spawning just being hilariously fun) that the format devolved into 7 of 8 drafters every pod were running for UG. The worst color in original ISD was red by a pretty large margin.Natirasha is just a vestige, it's Contessa now.-

Really? I wasn't impressed at all by the original Innistrad block.“Why was I chosen?'

It's only regarded as one of the top 3 blocks in Magic's history~
also, cockatrice had SoI drafts and my first draft deck did not disappoint.Natirasha is just a vestige, it's Contessa now.-

So let me get this straight. You have investigate cards to get clues, which you use to draw more cards. But all of your cards give clues. So you're essentially milling yourself for 2 mama per card.“Why was I chosen?'

There's nothing I love more than drafting maximum-durdle mill control, be it Thassa's Devourer(JIN), Vedalken Entrancer(M13), Grindstone(M14), or Sphinx's Tutelage(ORI). When that mill engine also happens to draw me cards, oh my god Wizards what have you done??Natirasha is just a vestige, it's Contessa now.-

"let me kill some time on a sealed deck simulator to get some sort of practice in for prerelease"

in reality, I'll probably pull atleastthree Drownyard Temple. If you don't know how to lie, then how do you know when you're being lied to?

Gamma and I did play a match on dr4ft+Cockatrice yesterday. Went GB with basically just two wincons, the 7/7 Menace sac-a-dude-or-land and the 6/6 Delirium-Trample guy. Having a Tamiyo's Journal helped, and as long as your opponent's deck isn't too aggressive (and it's sealed, so...) it seems really good.
Grotesque Mutation and Rabid Bite is a silly combo, and the green Vessel is really good at turning on Delirium. If you don't know how to lie, then how do you know when you're being lied to?
