I don't think that it's a scum plan to call Davsto town. That seems dumb. Securing accurate townreads just makes solving the game less complicated.

But scum have to call a few players town.....they can't just doubt cast everyone or they will appear suspicious by doing so. Protecting one player also doesn't mean you can't change your read on them later.....
I myself am unsure of that slot in particular, but willing to not lynch that today based on their reactions to my posts.

There's a difference between saying "Davsto is a pretty town dude Davsto vote 4 me" and saying "Davsto is incontrovertibly town due to XYZ barring scumBrilliance or a nightmarish accident."

From my POV, your idea that it's a dumb scum slot is itself handwavy because it ignores that pointing out secure townreads is a pro-town thing. (That is, that's the very point of the thing that you criticized as hand-wavy )

I think scum trying to blend in as town need to do things that on one level appear to be against their wincon because at a deeper level its needed to not be the obvious scum. In this instance I just think it was done poorly in a way that I can see myself having done when new. Thats very different from allowing incompetence in all possible ways.

Everything up to this post has been primarily RVS/null. Maybe I forgot, but where did that townread come from? The post on a whole reads as -

This is one of those things that feel weird. Considering it was only 12 hrs, maybe Andro simply forgot, but still a bit unusual. -

Like this posts emotions seem genuine, but I can see scum feeling that way just as easily as town.

yeah tbf i probably would have had an identical mindset about that whole situation as scum.

The posts where he called Davsto town, explained clearly why it was the case, and refocused/emphasized it when people tried to discredit it (rather than just dropping it to keep the townpoints without cementing a town perspective on the slot).

I found all of that pretty scummy. It felt like a giant leap in a bad way. Something scum may have manufactured thought about. I really don't like this fire assassin wagon.

I like early townreads and what Davsto was doing felt pretty clearly like town to me, especially since it came so early. Also I didn't really have anythhing to do with the Fire wagon? I don't think I ever even voted them.

sorry i dont really have many thoughts about this game. it's kind of low on my list. I still think Ircher's slot is town. I've kinda liked Chamber's posts though I'm really notsure what he meant when he said Smudger's posts were really bad and should have been wagoned??? i didnt really see anything worth noting from them at all.. kind of weird that he would make that read when he should be looking at the posts and have full knowledge he's town? like, the opposite of the bias i would expect there for him to read his own slot. idk i guess that's not much of a point.

also still kinad think X is scum. 244 was kind of brushing me off. maybe he loves playing scum sure but that too could explain his more jokey, upbeat attitude i've seen here so far? it just feels off for him is all.

Taking a step back and evaluating how you or your slot played and then interpreting how the slot is interacted with based on your expectations doesn't seem that strange. Other people did ultimately call my slot out for those posts, they were pretty bad. I just hadn't gotten that far when I said it. Though I was right in that the traction didn't exist.

Right, so biggest town read goes to Androgybee for post 222, followed by 223 and her thoughts on xfyu. I can agree with most of what she said on post 222.

Post 220 Not sure what Aristophanes current view on fire, but his vote on Fire looks like RVS, but then he later finds fire's post 101 scummy.

Don't know what to make of Fire's reaction to his wagon. No town or scum lean. His lack of content and looking for scum could be b/c he's got a wagon on him but meh, remains null.

I like Gork's 232. Interest in getting a better assassin read.

@Maru, do you think if scum had an extra vote on them, (yet they're many votes away from a lynch) they'd freak out in the dt? If you'd argued wifom, that would be a diff matter, but that still wouldn't lead you to an alignment as it could go both ways.

Gork's 325 makes gork a strong town read. There was a thought process behind his reasons and he was able to give them days after.

329, I'd have prefered a, "and why am I scummish?" part too. Obvious and I may be picky, but would have felt more neutral.

Fire is just really vapid. Sometimes that can happen if someone doesn't know how to fabricate content when they are scum.

I actually didn't realize that Gorke was an architect of the Fire wagon until after I noticed that Fire was kinda vapid and checked out his wagon status as I was reading. I had already independently found Gorke uncomfortable, mainly because it seemed like he was discrediting town players (scummy for the same reason I thought androgyne was town).

I doubt they're both scum. At least one of them is town probably.

as someone whose opinion you can definitely trust on the matter, i think i would have indulged myself less as scum there.
could understand this a little more if i was just attacking anyone who calls me scummy, but i feel like ive just been really prickly to people who have been calling me bad at the game. which is probably something i just need to start accepting is going to happen if im going to play the way i do.
