I've taken Protection from Evil with every character I've ever made so far. Celestial Heritage gives you a free Protection from Evil anyway which is neato for sorcs, don't need to waste a spell slot. Don't say I didn't tell you o_o

Players, there is a decision to be made for the campaign: whether to go back into the dungeon after resting one night, or traveling back to town, sell loot/buy supplies, and then heading back to the mines. (this option causes 4 day delay minimum)
This decision creates certain differences in the monster population you will encounter. (i.e. it is more likely that the kobolds sent a group to investigate after few days, etc)
It probably won't decrease the amount of xp we get, since that would require less xp killing more xp, which seems unlikely. Unless many kobolds die to bring down a spider.
Also though, we're better at killing kobolds than spiders. At least, we have been so far.
On the other hand, going back to town means the kobolds have a chance of finding the pendant.
Or, we kill everything in here, wait for the kobolds 4 days away, and then kill them too. Best of all worlds.

Just gonna say, part of that is because the tanks didn't hide behind your DPS. That's partially why I'm done. What your friend was going, staying at the back, really pissed me off, FG.

I remember there being a small rest area for the kobold scouting/mining party. But I can't remember what was in it. Would there be enough materials, tools, and other supplies from their sleeping area and mining office to create make shift bridges to cross the platforms?
I veto going out for 4 days, we should be fine going back in recharged with a new level. As long as we get tanks out in the front fighting, we can easily retrieve the pendant back, go to the spider that we need to and see from there. I'm not risking kobolds killing a potential NPC that will help us and getting another NPC possibly mad.

If I can get a 5 edition game that allows unearthed arcana with my gf and have a couple of games. I will start hosting 5 edition dnd since after it. Out of all the editions that's the one I seem to like best.
(It's more about the characters rather than the equipment.)
