Hurrah BattleCON!

This is a board game that simulates a fighting video game (e.g. Streetfighter.)

In this game we'll have Pendros Schalla (Cybele) fighting Clinhyde Eight (Zorblag) using the Force Gauge.

We'll need to start by picking finishers and the first two discards. I pick

Oh, and in case it isn't obvious, you'll want to spoiler tag any Environment antes. Once they go face up at the start of the next ante I'm not sure the best way to show which one is where on the board representation, so we'll probably have to remember. That reveal should happen before any anteing, though that's easy enough to do with spoilers, and if you're anteing first due to priority from the prior beat it's trivial for you as you already know it.

Does that all sound about right/reasonable?

No worries at all. I think that you'll need to put the position of the Environment Marker outside the spoiler so that I know where it is face down. Past that, I'm passing again, so unless you want to use Force Gauge the ante can be over.

Sounds right. Looks like I've got priority at 2. For my start of beat I'll retreat 1 space. For my before activating I'll then move 3 spaces to spot 7. I miss. You can advance 1, 2 or 3 and then miss it looks like.

It does let you gain life back, but tectonic is down now which is a pain for me.

How does that look? You won't gain your life until the next ante phase, but I'm not sure I'm playing this character right. I'm pretty sure I should take more risks (though had I done that I would be in a worse spot now?) On the plus side you need to guess what I'm doing this turn instead of the other way around.

I was leery of playing Pendros because of his UA, but it turns out that I like it; it's a bit tricky to keep track of here, but it's simpler than I was thinking (which makes sense as he's a novice flight.) It looks like he'd be one I'd enjoy playing in the future.

That all looks right. I should hit you for 3 + 1 + 2 and not have any interesting decisions to make this turn. After my life loss and your damage I put me at 15 health and you at 14.

The Crimza Infusion was because I realize that I need to take some risks with this character. You're almost always going to be able to at least avoid or out-trade my attacks, but I need to be bold with the extra damage when I have a chance.

I'm not going to be able to type up a beat for a while, but I'll get to it when I've got a chance.

Yeah, these infusions do need me to hit fairly consistently to be worth it. In theory I'm taking that into account, but we'll see if I can manage.
