It is in a townie mindset to interrogate another player into why you're scumreading them, tho people rarely tend to do this nowadays. Why do you disagree? Do you think a townie verifying someone else's alignment wouldn't ask such a question? Or do you think it's scum not knowing what to ask.

The question is an easy one for scum because the answer is so easy to manilplate into either a townread or a scumread. It also asks the player to look at their own play objectively, which many find hard to do, then find what others think I'd a scum motivation, which is harder, and people are reluctant to do.

How do you feel about the fact that I've learned absolutely nothing from DotW's answer?

I actually directed that question towards DotW because I thought he was likely the kind-of player that would obvtown himself easily in response to something like that. Apparently I was wrong, or he's scum.
