the lighting style and quality look similar

i'd say ocean's 11 is a good guess

it seems clear that a number of these were picked from trilogies or serieses (scream, spiderman, potentially star wars, etc.) so that makes it a safer guess too.

It's not that.

Not pirates, could be underwater, hadn't thought of that.

Ok, here's my thoughts. Helpful or useful, who knows? but here it is anyway.

None of the above are official guesses

1) Zakk already got it for us. Sweet.

2) I don't know why, but my first instinct is to say Life As a House. I'm not at all sure how long that movie has been around, but the cars suggest an older movie, as has been said already. Zakk, I don't think those spiderman movies are old enough to be it.

3) Clearly a casino but that's all we have and doesn't narrow things down much. I don't even see anything to suggest Vegas or AC specifically. I almost think it's not a movie centered around gambling just to throw us off though. For example, Dodgeball takes place in Vegas. But for all I know it's Rounders, 21, or even Hangover 1 or 3.

4) Sorry, I'm stumped.

5) Very hard to get much from this. Why do people think it's older?

6) Star Wars was mentioned, but Deep Impact comes to mind too.

7) Too many possibilities.

8) Jaws? Pirrahna?

9) Some kind of thriller. Crank?

10) Could it be a James Bond movie?

11) If it's Japanese like everyone is saying, I'm useless.

12) Looks like a stage. Maybe strip club.

13) I think the right foot might be helpful. Not to me though.

14) I'm almost positive this is Bruce Almighty where he's driving away from his apartment trying to pray with the beads early in the movie. Just before the truck full of signs pops out and he chucks the beads into the water. Anyone object to me guessing it?

I'll do the last few after my phone charges.

Yeah I'm sorry but I really have no idea on any of these. :(

I could maybe try to help with questions that have to do with time periods and stuff but any advice I would give should definitely be taken with a grain of salt.

#15 aaggghhh

that one's really bugging me

i wanna guess one of these:

falling down
beverly hills cop (another trilogy)
die hard (1, because 2 is at the airport and 3 is in NY, and 4 and 5 are way too new to be that)
terminator 1 (not 2 or 3 or 4 or 5)

this whole "they're all from a movie series" thing is going on strong in my mind
especially after the whole scream fiasco

p-edit: #6 i don't think is deep impact, i just finally watched that for the first time, and i get no deep impact vibes from that.
p-edit2: #1 being the love bug is <3 <3 <3 i miss that movie
p-edit3: good point PV

I think Flight of the Phoenix is the movie where they crash in the desert and have to rebuild the plane or something. I don't remember enough to recall someone walking in a circle like that. I also don't know if it's like a fighter plane or anything in the movie I'm thinking of.
Both the orginal and the remake were pretty good.

I'm expecting these movies to be more popularly known ones, because a) I don't think xof or CC are big movie buffs and b) it's the first round and I don't think they're gonna try to make the first round obscenely difficult.

ok so how's this work, we get 3 points for a correct guess, negative points for each incorrect guess?

also, how's the drafting thing work? i just need to send in a name to the mods of someone who's a veteran (i'm a newbie and we are paired with veterans)? and if i don't, i'm up for elimination? i have 72 hours but i don't wanna procrastinate that long lol

in which case, IF we guess spiderman for #2 or die hard for #15, it should be the first one (just like scream was... ugh.)

No negative points. 3 points if we get it this round, 2 the next round, 1 in the third rounds.

You send a ranked list of all the veterans in the order that you want to pick them as your partner for the next round. You get the highest choice on your list that hasn't been picked yet.
