@Vedith - you might not be worried about my thoughts about your play but I'm talking about something specific which worries me and you haven't offered an explanation.

I don't need to offer an explanation. If you feel what I did was scummy then voice your opinion over it.

I just think this way of playing is so unhelpful. I've said what I think was scummy, but also that some of your play has come across as town. So there's a contradiction. You can help with this contradiction by explaining the scummy play and how it came from a town perspective. I've also thought about this and am having trouble seeing how it did come from a town perspective.

We have different opinions on ira. I think it's unlikely that not only did he forget what the role did (this is way more likely) but he forgot it's an actual role at all. Despite having played in a game with it.

I didn't care about that, it's not important. If there's scum-aligned bodyguard, they would not crumb on day 1 because it's terrible to claim even if you are that role.

It's definitely important. I get your point about it being unlikely that a scum-aligned bodyguard would crumb day 1. But I'm also thinking about your blind town-read on CKD. If there's a mechanic or reason in the game for town players to read and identify each other, I would also think that there's the possibility of scum tampering with that read in some way. That makes the likelihood of scum fake-claiming, crumbing, and anything else more likely, because they know that it's going to buy a town read from another player.

I'm not saying I think this is the case with CKD, but it invalidates your point about scum not fakeclaiming bodyguard.

The "sample roles" post states clearly that there's a possibility of multiple BGs in the game. it strikes me as an easy choice for a scum fakeclaim, independent of the possibility of a scum BG

Read the first ten pages. Vedith is a solid townread for his aggression towards curiouskarmadog. Was on the fence about the latter until I saw Post 249 which I think is way more likely to come from town. Vedith's attack while clearly town was weak and there were a ton of things that scum could have used to pick it apart especially since it didn't seem to have gotten any traction. Found seraphim's obsession with the miller claim while ignoring Vedith's town behavior scummy and I like that ckd went for him rather than accept his support on a Vedith push. I also really hate Seraphim's Post 236 given he's picking out a very town looking post and calling it scummy. It reeks of him thinking he can get in to buddy ckd given he's a lot more experienced than Vedith.

DGB is probably scum. I have limited experience with her but I've seen her be incredibly passionate about her pushes and looked very obvtown. In Mini 1818, she replaced into the game and immediately started posting prolifically, then correctly identifying one of the scum who was pushing her. Here, she comes across as lacking any enthusiasm for the game and all she's done so far was a weak vote on FrootLoop and on PeregrineV (who is a townread for his predecessor Harkonnen's posting). Going to see if her posting improves once I catch up.

Been keeping an eye on iraonavp's posting given the wagon on him. I don't have a solid opinion on him yet but I thought his persistent aggression towards UT and just general willingness to state and pursue reads was vaguely townish and probably newb-town. Going to read the later posts to see what this is about.

CKD, Vedith, and PV are townreads from the first ten pages. DGB and Seraphim are likely scum.
