ya the eu/na first round og the gauntlet was a shitshow.

fortunately the IWCQ series was pretty entertaining.

time to see what tomorrow brings :O

I really hope that Lourlo and Matt take this series as a big learning moment. Hopefully they identified the flaws in their shotcalling/decision-making processes and will work to improve those.

Welp. Fnatic's done for. Shadow of their former selves, et al.

UoL could be worth a trip to worlds if they do well against Splyce because Fnatic is not really a good metric for their ability, IMO.

Honestly both of these series should be good to watch so thats wonderful.

Yeah I'm excited about today. Super high pressure situation with teams that will want to go very, very badly. I like all of the teams even if Yamatocannon kind of seems like a pretentious jerk.

I loved watching them play mechanically and was really rooting for them, but it turns out they don't actually know how to play League of Legends, so I guess just as well that they didn't make it to Worlds. Next year!

I know what you mean PEG. In less than a 24 hour span I learn that Lyon doesn't know how to play lanes and UOL get heartbreakingly close before Move throws his goddamn brains out.

I'm even going to Quarterfinals but all of my favorite teams aren't makin it. I guess I'm a...flash wolves fan??

If you're going to pick eccentric teams to have as a favorite, you should probably develop a secondary favorite to root for that's more established.

I'm glad I get to go to groups because I'll get to see most of the teams at least once.

I feel a lot better about this C9 team than last year's. Really hope they and TSM can go far.

CLG's kinda the odd one out, tbh. If it was CLG vs. Immortals I think it might be C9/TSM/IMT, not TSM/CLG/C9.

It turns out it doesn't matter how good you are during the regular season, cloud 9's Bo5 buff is unbeatable.

(Also the overconfidence by Immortals during their drafting is.. shockingly high)

I mean Hai was a large reason they managed to get to worlds last year. Not sure I get your hatred of him. Certainly not the most technically gifted player, and I think any team that has him has a certain ceiling, but I wouldn't forget that C9 actually did well in the first half of the group stages before flaming out the second half.

I have higher hopes because I think C9 has regularly performed better and has a higher ceiling with better talent this year. I also think NA is way better this year than last.
