arch - server properties has a spawn protection option - I just set it to 1. however, I'm not sure how that affects the chunk loading mod. on IES I don't remember if that fixed t cuz no one was able to open the chicken stick chest

I looked up the definition in the wiki - a value of zero can be used, it protects only the single block at the spawn point itself (probably to prevent you from accidentally suffocating people by building there). A value of 1
should
be a 3x3 centered on the spawn point, which should be sufficient. But a mod like the FTBUtils / FTBLib might also be protecting it. If the door to the hut still won't open for a non-op then we might need to do more research.

I don't think ETL's change was in effect, as the spawn protection was set back to 16.
I updated it to 1, reset the server, and deopped myself. The door opens for me now when deopped, though that's not as good a test as having someone else.

I can confirm this is now working as intended. I am on the server now, first log in. I was able to open the door to enter the house at spawn after logging on, and interact with the chests.

I enjoy symmetry. That's why I like building long, pretty mineshafts. Automated farms too.
