When did I imply it was a high or a strong SR?

It's the wrong one. Rather, it's the one that scum makes IMO.

Willing to give you the benefit of the doubt, though. You have a couple more strikes.

Level 5 scumread sounds like you're implying it's a strong scum read. I heard that and immediately thought of defcon 5. I don't know what the second and third sentences are saying at all. And I don't care about your strikes lmao

Yeah, I understood that it meant 5/10, but that despite being weak it was stronger than the others.

However, those other two lines are jibberish.

Defcon 5 is actually the lowest.

Seriously though, 5/10 sounds about as strong as I ever get in most games. Maybe we're just using the scale differently though? You're the one who quoted it along with saying you're not hard-scunreading Aubrey so obviously you don't think it's a contradiction.

It's incredibly easy for to foster a scumread on Aubrey off of those entry posts with the reasoning that " it's fake." It's incredibly easy to do that for a lot of people. With the amount of people on the internet that type how they actually speak, type how they DON'T actually speak, type like a cartoon character or an anime girl ,or perhaps an actual talking animal or a loony bin escapee, it befuddles me how you can create a scumread because someone's manner of speech reads fake or strange because you don't know what's normal to them. Someone's posts reading like they were manufactured to present a certain agenda or appearance is a different matter. I do not believe that's the case here. You are reaching.

I believe there were several other interactions at or before that point that , if investigated and pressed , could probably have given much more information and created discussion that would have given more information, if you were actually looking for scum.

Instead what I have now are a lot of surveys sprinkled with a little dash of disappointment. I'm so happy.

If 5 is as high as you get, then you're using the wrong scale. Your using a scale that only goes up to five. Mine belief that people are scum goes up to 9 or 10 in most games. That's obviously not a contradiction.

Let's go Bayesian with this.

If you took every scenario where you held a read as strong as your current read on Aubrey, what percent of the time do you expect that person would actually flip scum?

(I wouldn't call a read 10/10 unless that number were damn close to 100%.)

You're the one who's reaching. This entire post is nonsense just like everything else that you've posted so far. We were on the first page. Yeah, there were definitely tons of other interactions that could've been investigated at that point /sarcasm
I just said that I felt his posts were awkward and from then on you and others started acting as if I created a super aggro push against him. What's even more laughable is that you accuse me of not scum hunting when you haven't done that at all yourself. It's not like I even get a chance to scum hunt with all of you going on and on about how I'm pushing him or asking me why I think he's scum or whatever. In my opinion, I'm pretty decent at judging people's intentions based off of their town and word choice, so I was just following my instincts. Honestly, your posts are starting to piss me off because of how far off base everything you're saying is

Then say it was a gut read.

Nothing I said was off base. Nothing anyone is doing to you is preventing you from scumhunting, it should actually give you more opportunities to do so.

We're definitely in for a long game if I'm pissing you off now.

Since you're so wonderful at detecting people's intentions based off their tone and word choice, it must be a goldmine when people engage with you directly to question you on an SR.

Yeah, but it convinces nobody but you, and makes me raise an eyebrow. These kinds of posts could easily come from scum, especially earlygame when they are trying to get into a towny mindset and blend in. So show me in actions that you are town rather than trying to tell me so!

I don't agree. Many of the games I've lost as town involved lurkers being allowed to lurk before we finally lynched them and they were town. These questions can at least get people talking that otherwise might be less involved. Gives us something to engage them on.

Agree. That line of questioning is trash. Strength of scumread vs. chance of being scum is not some graph you can chart on. Especially this early on, it's mostly gut and we're arguing semantics.
