There is a difference between deliberate lurking (what Gamma claimed he would be doing) which is definitely scummy, and being more inactive in Real Life than usual, which is what I am, as I do not control exactly when my Real Life gets busy.

I'm not always like this. However, I was very often inactive during my overgaming period, in which I ended up lurking in the majority of my games. This is probably why you think that I always lurk.

Gamma said that he will be inactive because expressing his opinion gets him scumread. I said that I will be inactive because Real Life comes first. This is the difference.

Also, I voted Gamma both for saying he will lurk and saying he was lynchbait.

yeah coming from a person who has been mislynched many times I think my reads have been listened to maybe once

About trusting the mislynched: in my first game, we mislynched two people who scum read this one person, and the town believed this until he refused to quickhammer in lylo.

Can you please justify this? The fact that I am busy in Real Life means that I cannot put as much time into this game as I would like to. Soon I will be less busy and will be able to invest more into this.

I would prefer it if everyone stopped scumreading me purely because of my low activity. Real life is more important to me than MS.net life.

the myriad of reasons to vote gamma have been hashed out in the thread. it would have been simple to just say "I'm sheeping meowmix/aubrey/zach/whoever" and throwing a vote down. trying to find something scummy in gamma's recent posts seems like a way to appear contributing while actually not really doing so

That's pretty weak; just because some arguments have been put forth in favor of Gamma being scum doesn't mean that everyone who scumreads Gamma has to do it for those reasons. Clearly he found those posts scummy and wanted to act on them.

And I don't see what's bad about justifying his lurking. He's recognizing that it's a situation that he wants to change if/when he can.

I guess it's not "clear" per se, but you can at least see how someone might perceive those Gamma posts as scummy.
And given that it's multiball he could be scum and still have found those posts genuinely scummy.

I was mafia in the first game and in the other game I never lynched your slot (though you were a lover with someone else)

So how are your reads looking Gamma? I haven't really gotten a feel for who your for or against yet. Your Skold defense and short out burst regarding how the Blackstar debate shoulda ended pages ago are your two most interesting posts regarding your feelings about others. Unless I missed one of course.

I'm on my phone and don't care to go searching endlessly through pages to double check.

Would someone also define townblock please? I've seen the term thrown around a few times and I can only guess at what it means to do so.

Zach, why are you refusing to give your reads out of curiosity? I have a townie read from you based on your defense of gamma. I doubt the two of you are scum aligned. If you two were scum, I wouldn't understand Gamma's defense of Skold earlier. From that point of view I would assume your intentions Regarding that defense was town driven vs. scum driven. long story short, I think you have a strong town possibility so I'm interested in your reads. Refusing to give reads doesn't make a lot of sense.

Zach makes his reads clear as town, too, even if he doesn't come out and say it he'll be white knighting people

That's why it's rather odd that he jumped onto BTD6 so fast (though I do think BTD6 is scum, too, so it could be a bus move)
