but go back and read that page again. Unless I am missing something I don't see where anyone asks him to explain why he was scum reading me. He also threw it out there at a very odd time because he just asked Gamma else what they thought about him and jack.

gamma responds back to Yoshi and then Yoshi's response back mentions why he was scum reading me, which confuses gamma and rightfully so because it confused me as well. It was an awkward transition. Like he's had a mental lapse and can't keep his shit straight or something.

Also I find it odd that he sort of abandons his scum read on me and changes it to the Jaack (who I am voting) and gerry (who through my questions has reacted poorly)

it kind of feels like he is reads are trying to mirror my own which I would definitely put into the potential buddying category.


lastly he isn't voting either of his scum reads, he is voting psyche who he is trying to pressure for more info but it's not working.

in a nutshell it's a bunch of busy work without making any effort to actually find or lynch scum.

also he seemed to warm up to jaack scum in 303 agreeing with gear's post before you expressed your read
the point about low pressure and vote usage is valid and its why im not entirely sure on him either but it also applies to gerryoat, maria and psyche

You're assuming. Yoshi completely ignored 322. Didn't respond or react to it at all. Why in the middle of his conversation with somebody else would he bring it up? Imo that's what somebody who's guilty does. Like he's worried about keeping his story straight.

As for 303, he basically says he agrees with gear's point and a couple posts later changed his original "jack was overreactive" to parroting gear and saying jack was "over the top".

How do you tell if that's a genuine change or opinion or buddying?

I do think people are focusing on the wrong thing where instead of saying I backed off yoshi because of meta I could've done the easy way quoted a few posts and jump on the yoshi is scummy bw

It seems to be finally picking up a bit although I dislike that it seems to be focusing mostly on 3/4 people (Jaack Yoshi Gerry Jake) I don't know if that's really a good thing or a bad thing feels like a bad thing but I have nothing to back up why it could be

When I get back I'd like ecane and Light to tell me who they would place as scum atm with reasons why please

I'd also like to know why Gear feels the need to know so much about my points on meta

The more I see Yoshi grilled the more I want to say "oh yeah this is prob town" but this goes against the yoshi I know to some extent but I'm being a giant hypocrite and letting meta control that read when I've said I hate meta reads so I should just go with me gut and say he's town again

also you assuming mafia will come to the defense of one of their partners is naive. I have seen mafia hard bus their buddies before, even seen 1 player hard bus both of his buddies before.

Yeah. Sometimes it isn't even planned though. Somebody slips up or is getting heat and instead of risking defending them you pile on.

But back to Maria. Rask was clearly coming to yoshi's defense. Do you not agree?

its not so much that I townread him as opposed to not thinking his interaction with jake isn't as bad as he makes it out to be
thing like how you said he followed your read to buddy you when it looks like he started there before you said anything doesnt really hold water
his actual engage with jaack has been pretty mediocre but i was going to wait and see what he said next there

similarly maria is arguing the opposite in byf town but her logic is terrible
because there's a big pool of {gerryoat, psyche, light, ecane} who've been low pressure/activity and haven't commented
and the judgement she makes is like assuming that not one of those could be a partner because they'd have sprung into defending instantly

Jaack, could you explain your town read on Maria?

My initial townread on Maria was because I was getting a feeling of defiance that I think is more common from town than scum, particularly in the early part of the game (stuff like 148). It's not the type of game I like necessarily, but I think it comes from town more often.

It's not enough to toss her into my town pile for good, but its enough to write her off for now.

As for players I haven't talked much about yet --

I think ecane is reasonably townish. Mostly this is due to her actions regarding gamma. Gamma isn't a vote target that makes much sense for scum-ecane. Gamma isn't a player that's been high on people's radars either way, but he's been here and not a pushover. Seems like an odd fight to pick for scum early in the game.

Speaking of gamma, he's seemed a bit opportunistic and has seemingly been around the scum-flavor of the day a lot. It's not enough for me to scum read him - both psyche and yoshi were perfectly acceptable votes for him - but its something to remember for later. Other than that, nothing is really swinging me either way.

I think I already expressed a growing townread on gear, but if I didn't, its there. I've liked his approach so far, even if we disagree on things. Looks like someone trying to figure things out as opposed to pushing a mislynch or avoiding pressure.

Jake looks like town. He's come to a lot of the same conclusions as me about yoshi, and I like 378 in particular.

I have literally no opinion on light ganski. She has enough content where I feel bad for not having an opinion but her posts tend to leave no impact on me whatsoever.

Rask has looked pretty townie to me, which is apparently a popular opinion. Probably the strongest townread I have.
