DeliciousGoldfish wrote:How is your OMGUS vote for me any different than my (now) semi-random vote for you?

No, I wasn't being serious, yes it was a random vote, and yes this is still the random voting stage.

Random voting is where we find someone who is just a wee bit too touchy about someone voting them... I really wasn't sure how you'd react to my vote on you but....... your reaction isn't sitting well with me... and we're only on page 2! In the random stage! And an fyi, my vote on you was only my
2nd vote
... Several others have changed their votes...

Are you being serious about your vote? ...

My thoughts are scattered... I should just go to bed... BAH!

**Correction** My vote on ChaosOmega was my
third
vote. I forgot I voted for Haschel out of spite...

Before I have to leave, I would like to say that ChaosOmega's reaction to the vote put on him was rather out of proportion to what it should have been.
FoS: ChaosOmega

I'd post more but I have to leave soon.

Limited to no access from tonight until Monday for thanksgiving.

We are on page 3. I am not expecting any terribly important information to the game at this point. Reactions to random votes are interesting, but generally overrated and lead to bad lynches if people push for them (note the word generally).

Same as I said above.

Random voting is a discussion starter but they cause bad assumptions to be made early in the game that stick. So I am not taking them to heart, as some of you are.

Ooh, odd reaction ChaosOmega. Doesn't warrant three votes though, even just for pressure.

Well, if the boat doesn't rock, we get more pages of one-liners and ASCII art (not that the ASCII art wasn't cool). No, my reasoning wasn't fantastic, I was just trying to get the game rolling.

This random voting is getting us no where, and with the lack of posting, I'd say we need more information.

ChaosOmega, why did you vote DeliciousGoldfish because he was "not being serious" about his vote? No one had been serious about there vote yet, this is the random voting stage.
FOS-IGMEOY ChaosOmega.
Care to share your thoughts on the vote?

It is Page 3. That is all I have to say about that...
I really don't see Chaos' reaction as scummy. This situation happens every game in the beginning and it is not reliable in finding the scum. However, the people that have gone against Chaos can be seen a bit more clearly. Not that they're scum, but that their actions can be rid of the first pages of nothing. I want to here more on why we should pressure ChaosOmega (and I want to hear from Chaos himself).

Unvote, Vote d3sisted
.

I don't know how many of you are paying attention, but that makes 4 votes on ChaosOmega for something that wasn't particularly scummy. The transition from the random-vote stage and the actual-vote stage is not always clear, and I think DG and CO were both trying to end the random-stage.

Now we have a rapidly-growing wagon on ChaosOmega. Before d3sisted posted, we had three votes, an FoS, and an IGMEOY on ChaosOmega. How much more pressure do we need?

Not four votes worth, that's for sure.

Yeah, I never said ChaosOmega was scum... I just said his response was scummy.

I just know that's an initial FOS on him in my book, and if it's followed with anything else I deem scummy then that would deserve more pressure. Though I do wonder where CO has gone... He got all defensive about my random vote, voted me, didn't defend it all that well, then disappeared... It was TurkeyDay weekend though...

I will
unvote
for now... But I've got my eye on CO. And now d3sisted for pushing too hard against CO/placing a 4th vote. My unvote however, is not a reason for CO to opt out of giving a better explanation for his vote...

First of all, DG, I am not "pushing hard" against CO. I placed a pressure vote on him to make him talk.
Thanatos, in case you haven't noticed, he still hasn't said jack since the pressure built; as far as I'm concerned, a L-2 was wholly necessary.

I would like to know why Omega is silent, yes. However, it's a policy of mine that L-2 is never to be reached in a pressure vote. In a big game, L-3. You stepped over that line, and I voted you.
