I don't get what Shos is saying. No one (except scum) knows whether any given person is Town or scum or possibly 3P.

Any Townie will defend people they Townread, regardless of whether they are Town or not (the Townie has no clue, assuming no PR). You might Townread or scumread a person, but I don't get why someone else Townreading them is inherently scummy. People have opinions.
