LGM abductees are incommunicado until released the next game day.
Trigger for release: abductor uses abducteds name or abductor recieves a vote.

If the MIB targets a LGM he gets Alien else he swaps roles with his target.
Becoming the MIB prevents that persons night action.
Neither person is told about the other.

The doc cannot prevent abduction.
The nurse becomes the doc if the doc dies. Else nurses target is unaffected.

Deputy becomes sheriff if sheriff dies and gains sanity
If deputy shoots townee he loses badge (cop ability)

If farmer picks TS to stay in barn FD (loses ability)gets pregnant and Farmer gains shotgun 1 shot.

If the current MIB is killed before the Postman. They switch roles immedialy prior to the death.

and liked the prostitute/pimp combo
balanced by the LGM's abduction/Zap double action
Backups for all the town roles seemed to balance things more...

That pimp/prostitute is really cool (although I guess I'm partial). It could've let us confirm each other (like you said), and also kept some interesting control in the game. Honestly, when I first got the role, my first idea was to get the town to kill me, becuase a role blocker with no control of who he blocks seems like a bad idea.

So NEHI knew that he was causing people to be blocked, but he didn't know me? What would have happened if he had sent me to the barn? Nothing, I guess, but I'm trying to imagine the description.

Yes NEHI knew only that he was choosing someone to sleep in the barn. Had he selected you ... you would have finally got a good nights rest BTW If you had died NEHI would have become a 1 shot vig. Had NEHI died you would have become ... very lonely at night.

I still wish the LGM would have 'abducted' one of their own. It would have made a great alibi. I even stated in their Role PM this was a possibility.

I don't think self-abducting even came up during the night discussions. Speaking for myself, I thought of it, but never mentioned it, as abduction would lead to unwanted attention. Also, I think people would've assumed that abduction was an alien ability, therefore, they would expect us to abduct ourselves. I don't know if this reasoning occured to my little green buddies though.

I also had a sneaking suspicion that something happened to people who were abducted. You did cryptically tell us once that abductions were somehow beneficial. Could we have done a mass killing if the only remaining townies were all abducted at once(since there was theoretically no limit to how long we could hold them)?

Really great game, gslamm. The new elements (salesman and mailman)and variations (pimp chooses for prostitute) rocked. Fantastic set up.

And abducting my customer was masterful, Polarboy. I doubt I could 've deflected it. I'd suspected day 1 that I'd be framed, and tried to preempt it by making gslamm slip and confirm me, by addressing him in the thread with that snide question about my role. Apologies to any and all who thought it unfair.

Man, I was miffed when I found I'd been lynched while at work, and didn't have a chance. I could have started selling rocks! What a waste!

To Polarboy: The "hint" was: that abducting someone blocked their night action. Abducting one of your own

I just realized another implication of the pimp/prostitute; two people knew who was blocked each night. I think that's actually what happened with the Dourgrim lynch (I remember that I had gotten Dourgrim in a lie about night 1, and NEHI voted for him immediately after I did).
