TRIBAL COUNCIL #5 REVOTE CONTINUED

Everybody waits in anticipation. Cerberus laughs wickedly. The panthers howl and the crocodiles make crocodile-noises. Blackberry burps and then apologizes. He reaches in and reveals the last vote.

Seventh Vote...

...

...

...

...

...

and Fifth Person to leave Shadow Swamps...

...

...

...

...

...

Elias_the_thief.

Elias_the_thief, with four votes (in the revote), the tribe has spoken. Please hand me your torch and leave immiediately. Cerberus emerges from the darkness and escorts Elias_the_thief away. Everybody else may head back to camp. Congratulations on surviving your fifth Tribal Council. Five down, seven to go...

Elias_the_thief, you may post final words in the thread now.

EVENT #6: THE GARDEN OF DECEPTION

*Blackberry and Cerberus lead the group down a pathway. At the end of the pathway is a horribly ugly garden with 13 large-flat stones spread evenly in a circle around the garden. Five of the stones are written on and eight are left blank...*

This, my friends, is the Garden of Deception. So far I have shown you five stones that have quotes and sayings on them about trust and deception. These stones belong in the Garden of Deception. A place where the plants and soil reeks of betrayal. In order for the Garden of Deception to be complete, the eight of you must each write a saying or quote on the eight blank stones. I will remind you what the first five stones say. On your stone, you must write something that hasn't already been written. It MUST be a quote about betrayal, deception, lying, trust, etc. It can be original or stolen from another source. Please PM me your quote...

If you do not complete this activity you will NOT be able to participate in the next Immunity Challenge...

Each betrayal begins with trust.
- Phish

I need not fear my enemies because the most they can do is attack me. I need not fear my friends because the most they can do is betray me. But I have much to fear from people who are indifferent.
– Russian Proverb

Oh what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive.
– Sir Walter Scott

We have to distrust each other. It is our only defense against betrayal.
– Tennessee Williams

Is it possible to succeed without any acts of betrayal?
– Jean Renoir

IMMUNITY CHALLENGE #6: AUCTION OF ANCIENT ARTIFACTS
[/b]

Eteocles, I will be taking the Spider Immunity Necklace back now.

For your next challenge, you will be tested on your ability to make strategic choices. An auction of ancient articfacts is about to take place and a bidding war is about to erupt. Each player will be given 666 coins. You will distribute these coins amongst nine items however you like. Whoever bids the most on a particular item will recieve that item. Each item is worth a set amount of points (their worth will be next to the item in parenthesis). If you bid more than 666 coins all your bids will be nullified and you will automatically lose the challenge. If you choose to bid less than 666 coins, then you won't be penalized but I'd be concerned about your intellectual ability.
PM me your bids.
After the bidding war is over, I will count up your points and the player with the most points will win immunity. If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

Auction 1: Keres Button (5 points)
Auction 2: Hesperides Handkerchief (7 points)
Auction 3: Eris Earrings (9 points)
Auction 4: Thanatos Sword(12 points)
Auction 5: Momos Map (15 points)
Auction 6: Hypnos Helmet (18 points)
Auction 7: Oniros Opium (22 points)
Auction 8: Apate Amulet (28 points)
Auction 9: Hades Crown(35 points)

Samble Submission:

333 coins on Hades Crown
111 coins on Apate Amulet
220 coins on Eris Earring
2 coins on Thanatos Sword

Deadline for submissions are Monday (1:00 PM) EST. REMINDER: You must complete EVENT #6 in order to compete in this Challenge...

...

2nd Place: with 40 points, Hasdgfas!

...

I apologize for not setting pre-determined rules for "ties" in the bidding. After considering, I realized that it would not effect the outcome either way and just gave them both (Has and Skitz) 28 Points each. JDodge and Bethelmark did not send in submissions (on time). Bethelmark's was late and even if I had accepted it (which I wouldn't), Bethelmark wouldn't have won any bids. Since it's the holidays, I'll spare them the strikes...
