The long and short of it is, you have a slightly higher than not chance of being lynched over a good portion of the player list. You goofed off, you claimed power role, you're still not even remotely serious about playing or getting people off your wagon since you aren't really fighting your own wagon, in fact you think we are all town on it, and as a result, no one as of yet seems intent on moving away from you, and best you can hope for is a counter wagon to compete and out vote yours. However, what did you have to gain by soft claiming and then what do you intend to do if your wagon becomes more serious?

It's Day 1, so I make best guesses, aim for a flip off a player I don't mind seeing removed from the game, and get stronger reads from there that slowly morph into scum and town. Other people are more willing to put money down that they have nailed a scum player within 2 pages of the game start.

Yes, I townread everyone on my wagon. I think of the two leading wagons, this one is the most "Town motivated" ones. Id be very surprised if more than one scum if any is on me.

I think you are hugely mistaken on my not seriousness. I have become way more engaged due to this wagon actually, like just our interactions should be enough proof of that.

Now on to motivation and what I gain.

What did I gain by soft claiming? Nothing. I don't care. My play is not surrounded by what is best to achieve goals. Thats why I am not always easy to read.

If my wagon becomes more serious, so be it. If this were yesterday and I was at L-1 I would self hammer and laugh my ass off that town lost a power role. Not in that mood right now that I was, probably wouldn't do that at this time, but who knows. I might feel that way again if everyone just continues going "claimed scum he must be scum"
