I am at the point where I think dreal is town who is playing his incredibly defensive game. The earlygame lull makes sense if he's town vig as he needed to survive to N3 in order to shoot.

I really don't like his approach though and everything I said before on his play I still hold to - he never really pushed his scumreads or was a ringleader for anything but he'll simply ignore me since I don't do cases with post numbers and this won't get anywhere. So if he's actually scum you're going to have to judge his interactions and what he's done all game. I mean, he would honestly not surprise me either alignment at this point. I'd lean town though. I think.

"we've got no case!!! but we're bullheaded enough and just keep pushing it, we might be able to get it through" - that is not good scum play, even if you're successful with it, it's like, again "we we just play soooooo horrible to a point where they can't sink to our level and beat us on the level!!" - nothing to be proud of and is disgusting

If you want cases you're stuck living in 2011 m8.

Not everyone plays by cases. I actually do sometimes, but most of the time I read on the little subtleties in people's play.

This really resonated with me and I agree with this.
Dreal and I have some obvious play/policy differences and I don't think running around this will get us anywhere.

I mean, I'd only hope that having me flip town X many times in a row would finally convince dreal that I don't play to his clearly well-established reads of people but whatever; I'll just have to decide whether I want to be in games with him from now on assuming he's not permanently banned one of these days. lol

I do try to read you individually in each game, andrius, and not base it on difference in playstyle (though I do find some how how you do town to be inherently scummy and think you do it to fortify your scumgame when you roll scum, and I have issues with that and that will never change I just try to make do and continue to read you as best as I can) / take the differences into account

I don't see myself getting perma-banned that's a bit overboard of a thought I think

No, I don't play town to make scum look better.
I play scum to mimic my towngame though.

We have clear policy disagreements (re: claiming, for one, since you think any form of fishing is scummy) that we don't seem to get around so whatever.

it's not that I'm totally against every claiming and obviously there's points in games where massclaiming is the move, you just seem a lot more ready to get to claims than I think is good for town, hence inherently scummy

I think it comes from not being able to trust townies to do the best for town? but you're working against that, not for it

you've got to learn to trust people to do what they think is in the best interest of town and THEN judge whether they're town or scum based on what they do

each player has their role and it is up to them to decide how to use it for the betterment of the team

Gerry - Anti-town to the extreme given his reliance on claims and jazz to do things in the early-game. I don't trust him around LyLo but there's only one person I would trust in LyLo at this point so there's that.

This is reminding me a lot of the endgame of Gay Mafia, where Town had scum dead to rights and they flailed super badly because they saw the writing on the wall.
