Site-wide post: Requesting emergency V/LA for the next day or so, dealing with a once-a-decade blizzard right now. 30 inches in as many hours. Absolutely insane, even for a region famous for snow. I will post as I can, but may be shoveling and snowblowing a lot. Also my sister is out of town and her furnace crapped out while she's away, and the furnace guy can't deal with waist-deep snow drifts.

If I'm understanding the rules right, you don't have to be -IN- VR to create a link. But then you can only use the link if you're in VR.

I really enjoyed The L*nk Between Worlds though. Even if I got stuck on the mountain/volcano part for longer than I should have. -_-

Dude, CK, I'm from the Syracuse area. We get more snow than most of Canada. 30 inches is nothing, but when you get it in one day, it requires your attention. We're not Virginia or Texas or wherever that shuts everything down for an inch. We are largely still going on with our lives. The roads are clear, businesses are open, and the best plow service in the nation is keeping it that way. We've already gotten in the neighborhood of 140 inches of snow this year.

But when it all drops at once, we have to spend time shoveling, snowblowing, plowing, and fixing furnaces, same as you.

There are only a few Canadian cities who are in Syracuse's league. We average 117 inches, often quite a bit more. Worldwide, there are a few Japanese and Scandinavian cities in the same weight class, and that's about it.
