It's a fancy chart with lots of colors and a lot of information. What more do you want?

You joke but I think I could probably pull this off.
That being said I see no practical way this helps and can definitely see hindrance.

It is missing the correct option: Floss for a few days regularly, misplace the floss, forget about it. Find the floss a month later, repeat cycle with the addition of panic flossing twice a day or more when you realize that you see the dentist in a week.

Psyche is correct. The FDA or whoever changed their recommendation last year.
Then again, there's also little high-quality evidence that diuretics help with heart failure. They're so "obviously" effective that it's considered unethical to test em. But flossing's not in that area. Why the FDA or whoever decided to step in on flossing is unclear.

I mean, there's a definite difference between "there haven't been high quality studies that have proven the effectiveness of X" and "X doesn't do anything"

I get the feeling your posts are more about insecurities than anything else. I don't care if you floss. I don't really care if I floss for that matter. I do because it takes me like 30 seconds a day, has no documented harm, continues to be suggested by the
ADA , and costs very little.

But you got to take a stand for something in your life. When everyone tells you to do something, you say no. Shaq stood up to people telling him the world is spherical. Donald Trump stood up to people who tried telling him stuff existed.
Where is your defiance, Zoraster?

i mean, that's clearly not the case. you've tried to get into this argument several times in this thread before. it's not that you were too subtle. it's that no one wanted to spend the time getting into it but you:

That sucks. I cracked a tooth skateboarding once, had to get a crown put over it.
Good luck getting that taken care of.
