That's.... kind of exactly the point. Like, you made my point for me. Shredder is such a powerful card that you don't need to play well to win with it at times. Sometimes Shredder is just too good on board and you win without thinking.
That's not fun, that's brainless.
Yes my Lord, but questions are dangerous, for they have answers.
13 heads and counting now, plurality is adaptive. If our experience might help you,
And I'm saying that I disagree with you on a fundamental level. Choices are not interesting or fun. Winning is fun. Shredder wins. Choices only make you lose. I'd rather have an optimal almost everytime pick up then a choice, every time. And it also makes the preparing easier, because you know you're gonna need an answer for shredder. I'd rather play good cards then get shoehorned into some shitty mechanic like Jade Statues(which is really a dumb mechanic and why I basically have quit) and get shortchanged.
If you are good you should want interesting choices. It will mean you win more. Everyone knows piloted shredder is a great card. Everyone takes it. No room for an edge in drafting (obviously there are in other areas of the draft but this increases them)

Absolutely not. Interesting choices create variance. Because the reason it's a choice is because each card would have it's merit in a particular situation. Variance is the enemy.
choices allow you to be wrong, the more chances there is to be wrong the better better players do because they will make the right play more often then their opponents
the more choices the more mistakes baddies make
youre completely wrong

This is only true if there is a unequivocally right and wrong choice. If the choices are trade offs, which is the goal, then it comes down to variance on which trade off is going to help you over the course of 10 games against moderately but not entirely predictable decks, which is dumb.
Whats the issue with Jinteki? It's been improved if you're a year or three out of date.

It's not officially supported. No first party support, don't even bother. I like being able to buy sets/packs, have it be publisher supported, have laddering systems, etc.
Hearthstone was appealing to me because it offered that built-in competitive support.

Havent been playing much lately, but I played a couple ladder games earlier this evening just after midnight. Played miracle rogue and my stb was definitely at 2 health. But i just checked the subreddit and it looks like the nerfs should be live already from the way peiple are talking about it. Am i missing something or am I just misunderstanding?
