I have a rattail and in grade 8 my friend Kyle gave me an Ariel hairbrush to poke fun at me for it. He also gave me a bunch of my little pony stuff that I never ended up using.
I still think it's pretty funny, plus I don't actually have another hairbrush.

It's actually two different princess hairbrushes; one has Anna and Elsa from Frozen and the other has Princess Sophia from Sophia the First. As for why, well, let's just say having a daughter changes your life in a lot of obvious ways but also a lot of subtle ways you don't notice until you discover that princess brushes are the only ones you can find.
I was given it by my grandmother who has dementia a few years ago mistaking me for my sister at the time and used it as a sort of joke amongst my siblings for a while and then it just became a force of habit to quickly use it before heading to work in the morning. I do hide it in a cupboard in case I have guests over though.
