I try my hardest as town to be good town (I really do), I try my hardest as scum to play my town game (and think I do quite well), this is why they are hard to tell apart. but, in general my scumgame comes off more towny (yay my scumgame!) and my town game comes off more scummy (GRRR my town game - it's not something I try to do intentionally at all)

Why are you voting edo as scum? Is it because edo voted Elena? You didn't give a case, and all I can tell from your post is that you agree with Elena, which is apparently why you think Wheme is scum, so you think edo is scum because he's voting for Elena?

Help me wrap my head around your thought process here.


PEDIT: There's a difference between what you did, stating in jest that you are scum, and then what Dunnstral did in being very serious about claiming not to be town, and then changing their mind on that declaration later. If Dunnstral is Survivor for example, it means he's not always going to have Town's best interests at heart, and we also likely won't get much content from him. Using drealmerz argument on your declaration, he could also be a Traitor looking for his friends to pick him up. It's one thing to jest about being scum, people do it a lot. But Dunnstral flat out claimed not to be town, and then when called on it, retconned his claim. That isn't something that should just be hand waved away.

the only reason I'm not pushing that is because I can't see vonflare putting the same variant of traitor in subsequent games (I was such a traitor in his The Most Bastard Game), but then MODWIFOM is something I'm a huge fan of, so, it is still possible - but I think it more likely you're scum-traitor starting with a scum wincon

I just know as a mod I get irritated when someone is telling me how to run a game, which includes replacing someone or modkilling theM.

The Thing is a great example: I tried to get Untrod Tripod modkilled because I thought it was pro-town to get him out of the game (and thought he was possible scum and if as town I can get a free kill on a player I SR then YAY), but I wasn't trying to convince the mod to modkill him, there's definitely a difference.

When I was reading dreal my biggest issue is where he tells players to vote and doesn't vote himself and the fight with fire seemed off and unnecessary.

This is dnd game. I remember doing vampire and we talked about joining the campaign, some gamers referred to being in the group as a party.

1. Please type longer posts with at least multiple sentences. I wish you guys could write paragraphs. Every bloody sentence doesn't have to be chronicled and presented as a separate post. This is the problem of your generation No synthesis, just communication.

Why are you giving this newscum Wheme guy a pass? He had to play a few newbie games to even get into this one, so he should know better. The only legitimate excuse is that he's scum. Absolutely nothing he's said or done is pro-town, and on the contrary, the fact that you'd be willing to chainsaw, ignore all of Wheme's posts, and tunnel on the obvious lynchbait is pretty telling. You'd be smarter than this if town. Dreamerz is the obv town beard lynchbait, because absolutely everyone SRs him. Only a few SE Whene for his scummy posts, unexplained votes, illogical reasoning, etc. he's the obvious newbscum here. If he flips scum, you're next.

In my experience of RCs town play, the best course of action is for everyone to vote him, he will freak, overreact, and replace out if town. If scum, he will stay and fight.

This won't happen, but if we are going to use meta for anything, that's the best way to handle RC.

Point being: meta is useless. Good players manipulate it. Play the game as if this is their first, and then see whose scummy. Wheme is scummy. None of you can disagree. You only ignore it, but go after the easy lynch in Dreamerz. Town should know better with the quality of the current players, so either the Dreamerz thing is ego clashing (it is), is a scum train (I think it is), or both (my view).

RC/FB need to stop harassing the guy, because he's obviously easy to troll. That's easy to see, so leave the guy alone. Play the game and make an actual case on him that isn't just a policy lynch, or you're probably scum and need the rope. Simple stuff.
