If Loopdan is actually going to post, I'd prefer him staying over replacing out. But a 4-day VLA after not posting anything today means he's completely absent for half the day phase. It seems we're divided. I think having an active player fill an empty slot is much better for the game.

Can't replacements lead to more mis-lynches though? What if one player is a poor town town player, and the replacement says something that contradicts the originals posts.

No Lynch is optimal when you're playing follow the Tracker, as long as the BP is alive.

Also, reads and contradictions won't be as effective as if the original player was still in the game. If he's only gonna be out for 3 days (even though it's usually frowned upon), I'm okay with it if that means he's gonna play for the rest of the game.

I'd prefer to consider things like this as NAI honestly. Replacements can't answer for the actions of their predecessor, even if they do offer activity and fresh perspectives. I can see the pros and cons of both ends.

Uh, thinking about this from a strategic perspective is really not cool. Loopdan has been a lurksack all game and should have asked to be replaced rather than go V/LA for 4 days because activity is healthy for games and he is not respecting the other players right now. He didn't ask for a replacement, so that's that. End of discussion. Get back to playing the game now.

Actually, I did take note of post 176 (which is his only defense of Cog, as mentioned in 463). And something was off about it: I remember being a bit annoyed because he pretty much spewed out the same non-sense as Chronicle:

I agree. I'll check the deadline again and see if Loop will be back by then(I'm 85% sure he will be), but I'd rather have Loopdan have to make the great wall of Pine than have somebody else cover the last sixty-something pages and make the great wall of China.
