Yeah, a personality thing that leads to D1 hardclaims and thinking "Hooker" is an alignment.

You wouldn't play Chess without knowing how to move the pieces, so why play Mafia without even knowing what the pieces are in the first place?

Some people are tactile learners and there is nothing wrong with that. If you felt you legitimately caught a slip, you should be excited, instead of taking this as an opportunity to insult people which is not cool.

My intention is not to insult people, only to make sure that people know what they're playing.

I'm fine if questions pop up and things need clarified, but people should at least look at the setup first.

I do apologize if I'm sounding harsh though. I don't mean any of this as a personal attack, only that I really don't want people not reading to be reason we lose.

I've explained all of this very clearly. I'm not doing it again. Scroll up and read again.

I discarded the only non-Town card I had.

Coney Island is Theme Park jr. All kinds of unexpected shit happens here.

I know what we are playing. I don't have every role in history memorized. Had it said RB, I'd have known what it was talking about. Here's how my cards were dealt.

Werewolf Hooker
Town card
Town card

I thought I had to pick alignment from Werewolf or Hooker and apply it to one of the roles of the other 2 cards. This isn't brain surgery.

It does say RBer on the setup page. Which is my point.

I get you made a mistake, just. Read the setup now so you don't make similar errors when it actually matters is all I'm saying.

So you perceive things differently than I do. You have established this very well. Do you find me scummy for my perceptions or do you just like reinforcing your superiority over me?

Not memorize, no. But at least read through it once so you have some idea.

Personally, I have it open next tab for easy reference whenever a claim comes up, but I know not everyone's going to do that. I do expect familiarity with your own role, and at least a basic comprehension of the overall setup however.

Huh, did not know that acronym, might be cause it’s stupid.

62 is terrible, it’s shade-cast sans vote, it’s soft-push, combined with 61 attempts to make wagon to join later without doing the making. It’s town bait, I like it not.

105 is bad even if he didn’t forget someone. It reads like the kind of thing I would post when I am looking for a reason to go in to a tunnel on a townie and have town forget about me.

Radical seems townie, band I also did not read the setup, mostly ‘cause I am lazy.
Chaos, Panic, Disorder, my work here is done.

This is why I was asking about Mason.

So, have you guys been discussing anything worthwhile yet?

McMenno is a mason. But masons aren't alignment confirmed in this game, so it's basically just a normal hood.

There are only two ascetic roles.
Town Ascetic, which was discarded, and Mafia Ascetic Mason.

Mason isn't a "Murder the entire Town" role, so I kept quiet but asked the mod to know if he was conftown.

I just found time for a quick readtrough and I am a little lost with all those roles and everything.
I don´t know all your experiences on site but to be honest I didn´t go trough all the roles before I got my cards and I just went with what I understood while picking. I say this because there is talk about not getting the head in the game (meaning knowing about all the roles and if they are good/bad roles to have) even before it started and from my point of view I can see others going in halfblind as myself. I can see why it irritates people that prepared more for the setup. Sorry I guess.

I'm not so much irritated as I am just worried. The less people know about the setup, the easier it is for scum to fake things without being caught.

I'm doing my best of course, but I can't keep track of everything on my own, and I can die at any moment. The more Townies who familiarize themselves with the setup the fewer options scum have to lie.

In post 2, JerryArr wrote:If at least one player selected a permanently anti-town faction alignment (Mafia, Werewolves, Cult, Aliens, or Replicants), AND a majority of the players have chosen the Town faction, the game setup will be considered valid. No temporary alignments will be counted in either faction count.
So, at least 1 person chose to be scum. 5 people threw away an opportunity to be scum. McMenno admitted he kept a scum card, keeping an opportunity to be scum. What are the odds that we only have 1 player that chose to be scum?
In post 6, JerryArr wrote:Mini 1904 has officially begun! The following is the list of discards.

McMenno = Two-shot Bulletproof Survivor
Rautherdir = Town Ascetic
1 Shot Vanilla Town = Town Private Investigator
Radical Rat = Alien Prober
SnarkySnowman = Town Gravedigger
TiphaineDeath = Town Innocent Child
IAlwaysWinSometimes = Alien Doppelganger
Ircher = Town One-shot Commuter
Chickadee = Werewolf
Lil Uzi Vert = Town Miller
Necta = Replicant Bloodsucker
gerryoat = Watchlisted Townie
SlySly = Werewolf Hooker
What if McMenno is just playing like he used the Ascetic, because he knew there was an out with that card specifically, but really used the alignment of that card and combined it with something better than Two-shot BP?
