My first two games, I was VT, played more aggressively (I was on vacation and it was bad weather, I was inside and had nothing else to do), and town lost to perfect scum games. I was 50-50 on my scum hunting, but also helped lynch and hammered lynch bait townies. So I'm more careful now. I know scum hunting is important, it's my only job. But I scum hunt well sitting on the fence and watching and reading and thinking about what others say and do. I don't fire my shotgun into the trees and see who falls out. 7 out of 9 times, it's town that gets killed using that approach, which is what I view MM and those following him are doing.

Yeah, I'm not proposing random lynching or quick lynching, it's always good to have a guess at who you would vote, gun to your head. This is why we start with an RVS phase (completely random), then move on to stupid reasons, and then hopefully eventually converge on good reasons to lynch someone.

What's more, FS move to lynch early feels very scummy to me. I don't get how you can say all this and town read him. His early lynch of maker is scum motivated. Maybe it was just a stupid town move of an inflated ego as you call it, but why are you not seeing the scum motivation here?

I'm pretty sure I made an objectively good decision, given the information I had at the time, to increase town's EV here with the role that was given to me.

Mathematically speaking, there was 50% chance of being tracker/doctor in which the game becomes essentially 'follow the tracker' which is heavily town sided.

And 50% chance of being where we are now in which you have an unlynchable, and hard to NK virtually confirmed townie. This increases the chance of lynching scum from 2/9 to 2/8 on D1, and significantly more on each day.

Moreover I got You, LQ, and FS to vote me, which I'm willing to wager a higher than 3:1 odds that one of you is scum.
