Haschel, UTL: Why did you dress up for Halloween as the ghost of the US economy?
Back when I was in college I was on the Exec Board of the Residence Hall Association, and a surprisingly big part of that involved putting on costumes for programs and whatnot. It kind of became a thing with me where whenever we had to dress up for a theme, I would wear something that was sort of related to but not quite what the theme was - when we were supposed to be pirates I showed up in a black T-shirt, cargo shorts, earbuds (this was back when those were A Thing) and carried around a blank CD and an envelope I labelled "RIAA Subpeona"; when we were supposed to dress up for a "holiday party" and I found some old St. Patrick's Day stuff; when we were supposed to dress in "70s" attire I wore a monocle and top hat and shaved my beard into old-timey muttonchops. So when we were all planning the Safe Halls Halloween event we agreed that we would all be "something scary". I figured it would be funny to paint a bar graph on a T-shirt and go around using that fake ghost voice saying things like "oooooOOOOOoooo when you grow up we will have doubled the national deeeeeeEEEEeeeebt!" and "Wages are not keeping up with inflaaAAAAAAAtion!" to a bunch of elementary schoolers. They didn't find it funny but I did, and that's really what Halloween is all about.
Haschel: Why did your uncle take you to a strip club when you were 18?
Why? When you find out let me know. I had just graduated high school and my family had gone on vacation for two weeks leaving me behind so I could keep working at my First Real Job at the movie theater. My uncle asked me if I wanted to get something to eat with him after my shift and obviously I wasn't gonna turn down free food so I said yes. He picked me up, we went and had a burger, and then he asked "So, I hear you're living the bachelor life right now. Have you ever been to Jiggles?" I knew what kind of place Jiggles was, but I was hilariously prudish back then and so I awkwardly told him no and that I didn't even know what that was. Then he insisted that we go together and have a "bachelor night on the town". We stayed there for 90 minutes and they were some of the most awkward 90 minutes of my life. When he dropped me off at my car I gave a non-committal "That was fun, thanks" and then we never spoke of it again.
Regfan, implosion: What is your favorite thing about Pokemon (besides Pikachu)?
The fact that it's both a time waster and educational at the same time which is rare. It brings up elements like water, fire, and some others to children very early on in their development, this has been very valuable information for me when moving through life so far. Would recommend to friends, 5 stars.

I guess i'd say that it's still competitively interesting even though it wasn't really designed to be, and since it wasn't designed to be competitive it's great as a non-competitive game and franchise. Competitive pokemon has a lot more depth than you'd imagine, and i've delved quite deep down that rabbit hole over the years since mid-college. But I also love the casual side of it and just re-playing the older games, and collecting various pokemon things.
I hope no one figures out that Haschel submitted all the ID's and we're all just pretending some of them are ours

Ahh sorry!
So I hate talking about politics. Anytime someone engages me with a political conversation, I do my best to take it else where or run away as fast as I can. Well, I had a bet going with a friend about how many beers our other friend was going to drink before he passed out, and being right before halloween, we decided to make it a costume bet. He decided it would be hilarious to make me dress up as something to spark a political conversation so people would try to talk to me about it.
Alrighty, so it seems to be the running theory that splitting the identities is the best way to begin unless one stands out as obvious.
Since none of them do, let's
use the Split Identity!
I'd like to put the following into their own list:
Satanic Easter, Sporcle Capitals, Guitar Hero Playlist, Early All Nighter, #4 Addict, and Ace Attorney Cosplay.
Mostly alt rock and indie rock these days. Not really sure of a specific reason why I prefer the sound, but most of the bands that I listen to are for both the sound and the lyrics. I've primarily listened to alt rock for pretty much as long as I can remember listening to music and so it's probably partially my favorite genre just because I grew up on it. Been shifting more to indie bands lately just because I found a few that I liked a lot.
@laladucks and @implosion: What are your favourite genres of music and why?
hmm. i like selections from many genres! rap, classical, hip-hop, pop. i seem to have a penchant for 80s hits too.
and why do i like those musics? i guess the thing that most makes me enjoy songs is the beat. there seems to be a certain pace i most prefer. if it makes me want to move in tune with the sound i'm likely to enjoy
also if i can sing along to the lyrics that's fun because i usually don't notice lyrics so much in songs!
(somebody once told me the world was gonna roll me)
