Dave, I actually like realeo's list idea. It will help us when we need to consolidate and I haven't noticed any wagons gaining a ton of traction yet.

On other hand, probablity theory is an indication of "try hard scum" and I know that because we caught one (mhsmith) for doing that and I once did that as scum too.

But when I was scum doing "probability theory", it was because I want to establish me being townread. Theta seems more to a curious mathematician. The stupid suggestion of "ask them to claim" suggests that he doesn't bother being townread to begin with--he's just plainly curious--as a scum would notice that stupidity to begin with.

Theta, scum should be attempting to sort everyone legitimately except their scumbuddies. That's how you catch scum and they need to do that just as badly as town does.

Obviously, I know Not Fury is Town, so I had no reason to view their post with suspicion. All I had to do was evaluate whether I agreed with it or not.

Now I have a real scum read. That post reads as very safe and trying not to ruffle feathers. The realeo suspicion is fine because it's an opinion on a specific player, but saying the wagon "seems ok" and leaving it at that feels unnatural. Why is it ok? Do you agree with it? If so, why not vote on it? Also why not vote realeo? This is scum. Take it to the bank.

Trihexa's post seemed somewhat unnatural, but I wouldn't say that is scummy. Indeed, scum would probably be more likely to leave a vote on the wagon rather than just call it OK. This reads like Town who is not that interested in the game (as Trihexa replaced out).

Overall I can agree with you on Theta looking scummy.

I read this post as Townish. I do not think scum would react negatively to someone unvoting, as they benefit from decreasing pressure on themselves. Town would be more likely to react negatively if they thought the person removing the vote was suspicious. I don't exactly agree with the reasoning though. It seems common for people to unvote replacements and then read the replacement before deciding whether to vote, so I doubt it's scummy in itself.
