Not sure what a vote on BM is supposed to achieve at this point. He's already claimed Miller, so it isn't like we can pressure him to claim. It is too early yet to build a consensus regarding his behavior or go by his voting record, it is still day one.
Then again, I think there is only peers voting on him now, so maybe its a moot point anyway.
I think that is part of the problem I have with the current crop of 'suspects'. People seem more than happy to drop a vote on someone, but I have yet to see anyone actually push for/ make a case against anyone so far. Everything to this point strikes me merely as a vote of convenience."Reason obeys itself; and ignorance submits to whatever is dictated to it."

Do most of the Vig kills here at mafia scum involve shotguns? Rosso says it sounds like a Vig kill. Given what JDGA posted, and my experience elsewhere, I stand by my reading of it, which is that JD protected the PGO."Reason obeys itself; and ignorance submits to whatever is dictated to it."

Yeah, typically the flavor differences I've seen in generic games are
Straight up hand gun, Tommy gun / any automatic: Mafia
Most non-gun deaths: SK, very rarely body guard (typically involves the works professionally done if its body guard)
Poison: Can be cult depending on scenario
Snipe / Shotgun: Pro-town killing group, snipe can be other sometimes.Away Wednesday the 24th through the 31st-

Your second post, and you reply to a direct question to you, agree with a logical statement, and tell the town that a no lynch is bad. I've been sitting back after my first vote since there was lots of stuff going on, but I think you're trying pretty hard to sound useful without contributing. Your vote also doesn't seem to be anything more than random. I'll follow your advice.Lloyd wrote:

I agree.Khelvaster wrote:I highly, highly doubt that we have two cults. That would be degenerate in this kind of game.

If everyone waits, then we'll never lynch today, and no lynch is a bad idea on day 1.Nanosauromo wrote:Not sure on who to vote yet.

And why exactly do you not like posts like this? I see nothing suspicious about it. Pressuring lurkers is Good For The Town, and having 30 players does make it easy for one person to go un-noticed.Rosso Carne wrote:TheSweatpantsNinja wrote:Unvote, vote oEJo.

I do, however, find it suspicious that you suddenly vote for him and offer a one-sentence explanation that explains nothing at all.

It looks to me like you were just looking for a reason to throw out a vote. Rosso Carne already explained it, and people pointed out that TheSweatpantsNinja was lurking, so I'm assuming you ignored or maybe just missed the fact that he was one of those lurkers he wanted to pressure.Show"So I went to the librarian in the biology section and asked her if she could find me a map of the cat." -Richard Feynman

I'd guess we have 2 mafia groups and an SK rather than just 1 mafia group and an SK.QuickBen wrote:Honestly, I'd rather believe we have 2 mafia groups rather than a vig who's firing into the crowd. I'm not one to direct the vig, but if that was you, please hold your fire until you actually have suspicions.
The last 30 player game I saw had a 4 man scum group, an SK and 2 cults... So I think thoughts that there is only a scum group and an SK left alive is probably wishful thinking. Unless the scum group has like 8 people...
If we had a vig, I could see him/her firing into the crowd n0 though, based on the theory that 2 random lynches a day vs NKs would be better than 1 random lynch per day vs NKs. It's newbie logic, although it's also Fritzler logic. Alternatively an overeager vig might have to shoot every night.
Despite the fact that most vigs wouldn't fire blindly, I don't want to rule it out. There could be docs or roleblockers saving us kills... We could wake up tomorrow with 4 kills. So I don't think 1 set of kills is enough to give us enough information to conclude how many factions are anti-town.Damnit, Nemesis.-

Yes, I would have. The difference between 28 and 27 live townies at a start of a game is negligible, while the difference between X and X-1 mafia is much larger. The usefulness of mafia increases exponentially, the usefulness of townies decreases with each additional townie added.Battle Mage wrote:

BMLag actually does exist in real life. For proof, look no further than Jesus: When he died, it took him three *days* to respawn.
