Your name is Ed "McNugget" Nugent. You are 25 years old. You have an older brother Ned, and your dad's name is Todd. You all look very much alike, but you are smaller and shorter by a good hand compared to your dad and brother. For as long as you can remember people have called you "McNugget", it used to bother you a lot, but, you've found peace in it and now embrace it and celebrate it. Even as a very young boy you loved sifting through the creekbed (greedbed) for gold, and fittingly find a lot of small nuggets of gold at a decent enough pace. You seem to have a knack for sifting for gold, and you think it could be because of your smaller stature, which gives you smaller and more nimble fingers and more discerning eyes. You're also decently familiar with hill-mining with a pickaxe, but that heavier work is best left for the bigger dudes most of the year and you find more peace in the creekbed. Come the coldest months of winter when the creek is frozen you, naturally, spend your time mining the hills. You are a true friend to the Jenkis family, of which only Henry remains. You will do all that you can to do right by him.

Ohhh, this is not going how I had hoped at all. I thought I picked a good group of people and that we'd have this resolved with just a little bit of effort working together. But no, they're just all bickering and I can't tell who has Henry's interests in their hearts and minds and who doesn't and we are no closer to exposing those involved than when we started. In fact, we've now lost four people who were definitely looking out for Henry, with what seems nothing to show for it.

Yes, four!!! I was informed this morning that Gilbert Sullivan's oldest son discovered him slain outside their home this morning. His wife didn't think much of him not coming home, she just figured he was spending extra time dedicated to helping Henry. She never thought he would be someone killed in all this madness.

Gilbert had always been one of my favorite people in all of the town, and now he's gone. I can't believe it. I'm not sure the void he leaves will ever be filled.

You are Gilbert Sullivan. You are 32 years old. You've been married to Suzy Sullivan (maiden name Smith) for 15 years and you have three boys: Paul (14), Saul (12), and Sam (10.) You run the town trading post. Furs and clothes, pickaxes, shovels, adzes, explosives, lanterns, whatever anyone might need, you keep it in stock in your post, which is located in a centralized area to everyone's homes in the area. You watch people going about their business all day every day, not that there's a lot, but you get more foot traffic going by than most, and you're always at the ready to dispense the goods to whomever may need whatever. Every three months you make a trip to the nearest city, Brainerd, to restock. In running this post you also have regular interaction with everyone in the town and you recognize people readily - by how they walk and move or simple gestures they make. You are good at being inconspicuous and you can position yourself in relation to anyone you want and watch them to see who might visit them.

You think everyone has a right to their own property if they acquired it by ethical means. You've known the Jenkis family most of your life and know they
