There was a part of me reluctant to lynch Vedith because I was sure that at some point he'd suddenly say "I wasn't actually doing all that for no reason, I'm gambitting and there was actually some logic behind me being a tool, also here's all that logic" but all he's actually said is "There was actually some logic behind me being a tool", which is insufficient.

I'm gonna wait for Vedith to make another post in which he will talk a little more about this info he has.

I thought it was pretty obvious too and didn't make sense as a special townie play, but I still think it's a town play from his POV.

I think this explains why Vedith was playing so nonsensical at the start, if anything. I'm more hesitant to call him scum.

even from a EV perspective the correct play is still to lynch vedith since he's hardclaimed not-special-townie and if he's town whatever "informedness" he has will flip with him

i agree with dunn that the next play after a vedith lynch is a carcalilly lynch but i'm ok with discussing who the remaining two scum are. {jj, vij, dwlee, gamma} seems like a good pool to work with here

I don't think lynching him just because he isn't the special townie is the correct play. I also don't think we should just ignore what he's saying just because "what he knows will not die with him" (because I think it does).

1) We don't need to see the full role PM to know how informed he is - there is no role called "informed townie" this game. if he is informed he's going to have a role name that goes along with what sort of information he has.
2) Giving a posting restriction to someone wrt what information they can give doesn't make sense since they can crumb it. If there is a posting restriction, it's on the special townie, and they probably can't claim anything besides vanilla or special townie to prevent fakeclaim gambits ruining the game ("no, i'm bulletproof, i swear scum!").
3) Vedith, by play, has demonstrated that he's not informed town. There's more than enough hints for town to pick up on what the special townie knows and Vedith has ignored all of them.

Scum aren't going to have any information on the special townie, I agree. Vedith's play however clearly indicates he knows nothing about the special townie.

What? I understand that. I unfortunately don't think I'll be able to figure out what Vedith was crumbing to Dunnstral either. If Dunnstral wants to come in here and confirm the whole crumb thing is BS, then fine. But I don't think Vedith should die unless he can share what he knows.

He said it was clear from his pushing. I don't think this is anything I can guess.
