I would like to take this moment to give thanks - thanks to town for making this game extremely easy on us and bloccing quickly, to scum for being great fakebuddies and fun people, and to Ari for a fantastic game. Special shoutouts to our boy Zach and my precious Dunbun for having the attention to detail I knew they both had all along and for drawing the front-end aggro away from us like MMO tanks. Figuring out the set-up as quickly as you both did takes some skill, even if it's being waved in front of your face obviously. I know Lycan and I think jj were close too and I also would love to hear post-game what clues everyone picked up on.

For those who aren't detail-inclined, the above is not our real claim. Ari will soon reveal us as the

Town Mole

- the real special townie. We have a posting restriction that prevents us from making any sort of non-vanilla fakeclaim - sincere or joking - with the punishment of being publicly outed. So, yes, we're deliberately being punished to make this day a clean sweep. We've provided constant hints throughout our ISO of our true identity, but let me try to break our play down a bit so it all makes sense.

Our role essentially was an informed townie - yet the specific way we were informed (that would flip with us) was that we had posting access in the scum pt. We have a town wincon but the informedness of scum. The role of a special townie that ends the game if they die sounds like a difficult one to carry, but you all made it

a lot

easier. And, yes, this means

the set-up is 10:3

.

The buff town received to counter the Mafia Rolecop was our own wits. Everything about the set-up from the scum's point of view heavily indicated that the special townie was in their own PT. Namely, the godfather mechanic (only a member of the mafia could ever be nominated as the godfather since townies can't use a factional kill), the very careful wording in the role PM that never mentioned who the scumteam was, and the absurdly large scumteam. With careful manipulation, however, Kraska and I were able to convince the scumteam that the set-up made sense

and

that the optimal play was to hardbus. Scum then had no reason to think that the people carefully putting together the team's plan for endgame were, all along, working against them. Any sort of obvious soft we made was brushed off as rolefishing and trying to get reactions. Hardbussing was the right play to foster an anti-town environment to set-up future mislynches, to let town fall under its own hubris, to fish for information a la Vedith's claim, and to stall for time to let us get in more rolecops.

To ensure town won, we had to be certain that at least one townie would figure out the set-up. I carefully laid out several crumbs with the intention that one of {Dunn, Lycan, Zach} would figure out what everything meant, although they can easily be pieced together by anyone perceptive enough to look into why we were acting so off early on. The first two posts in the game, as I said earlier, are the most important of this game. Our constant references to Ethel Rosenberg (Kraska's idea) was to point out we were a spy for the town team, and the big vote for Lycan was to draw his attention to a reference he'd likely connect the dots on fast enough. Of course, that RVS vote alone could mean anything, so I had to emphasize that it was important. By bringing to light the Godfather mechanic, I pointed out that not everyone in the scumteam was, in fact, scum. Gingham's confusion over the setup also gave me the opportunity to question the numbers of the setup and shoot down the idea that 11:2 was possible. From all three of these points, I'm fairly sure Dunn instantly connected the dots and realized that the setup was "in no uncertain terms, 9:4" and that we were the special townie.

There were some other hints I provided as well when those three weren't enough. Whenever someone went off-course with regard to our own slot and was town, I would emphasize that I was "worried about them" but never call them scum. When Dunn and Zach worried about me being scum, I tried to hint to them that I was basically a Town Traitor. The sensibl e reference (and the a gree'n thing i made up on the fly) was a reference to Large Normal 200, where Zach crumbed to Human Sequencer that he was a blue traitor. The occasional calls for almond milk were a reference to Dunn's infamous role-swap in Mini 1787 (Peruvian Nightclub Mafia) to signal to Dunn and Zach that I was roleswapping with Dunn and OK with it too. I knew I could be obvious and bring attention to all of this (even after explaining it to scum in the PT) because scum thought I was scum and that this was all to pocket the VTs Dunn and Zach. My reaction to Vedith's claim was practically a special townie hardclaim as well, but I played it as though I was gaining towncred for pointing out Vedith's bullshit. Like I told Wake - the special townie

will not

stay quiet this game, because staying quiet doesn't let town know who they are!

Once it was clear that Dunnstral figured out the set-up, I made sure that my readlists and my pushes emphasized Vedith and Carcalilly being buddies - specifically my buddies since I knew that Dunn was calling me scum semi-correctly. Since we only needed to secure two scum lynches to win, I could completely ignore Vijarada and tell him in the PT that I was setting him up for endgame in case he needed to bus me. As long as Dunn made the connection, we won. Zach, Nos, and the most of the town having strong scumreads on both lynched slots only sealed the deal further, and it was smooth sailing once we shared a glass of almond milk.

The kills were both happy accidents - assuming Vijarada actually submitted the Wake kill (writing this 12 hours in advance LMFAO). Lycan - if I am reading him correctly - knew that Kraska and I were the special townie but felt our play was reckless and wanted to understand how other townies were figuring it out. While perfectly fine for a player to do, with how quickly the game wound up moving I was hoping that either the night would allow him to catch up or his kill would prevent him from possibly going rogue or outing info town did not need to know at that point. Genuinely did not want to kill him though, but the scumteam thought it might dissuade town from speedlynching Carcalilly. Wake as a pro-town kill should be obvious - I actually had to do no manipulation for that!

Vij should be clear as scum though from his reaction to Dunn's claim - they're fake as fuck and smell of knowing it's actually 9:4 (it's not but).
