This post bothers me a little. It came directly after a post of mine iirc, and it is very much thinking what I'm thinking when I'm thinking it, but I telegraphed the fuck out of feeling totally out of sorts with my reads. That sense of synch that I had with kraska in the early days of Day 1 had faded after her v/la return.

I don't have any reason to think it's a grab for more mindmeld-sense on my part, but I do feel that way a little.

I kinda disengaged last night during back and forth between you and Tammy. Two townreads tearing into each other that way is disturbing and makes it hard to really engage with your reads.

But, I've really had trouble relating to your reads for a while. You have way more conviction about stuff than I do. I don't have the background with you, and don't have experiential confidence in your ability to read/gamesolve to take a leap of faith on your reads vs mine.

I think so. From what I've seen of her scum game in the past, it's way less emotional than her town game. She's probably been able to bring some of that into her scum game since we last played, but to that degree? I seriously think she'd feel terrible about treating someone she knows is not on her team that way.

All I can tell you is that I think she's town. Some of Ceph's posts have bothered me, too. But it's a very rare Ceph-town who doesn't bother me at times.

Several logistical things to take care of:

1. I will take care of the full flip when I get home. However, as it makes no sense to leave the game hanging without knowing at least the alignment: Nosferatu is flipping town.

2. Oil Tycoons has requested replacement. I will be PMing anyone who said they were interested. In addition, I will be extending the night deadline by a certain number of days that will be decided by me and the person replacing in. I do not want to set a number right now because it may depend on the person who replaces in-- for example, they may have already been following the game, as is common among several people in replacement queues, and I do not want night to go on for longer than necessary. The 2+X day countdown will begin as soon as a replacement is found-- until then, the clock is frozen.

BACKSTAGE AT THE 42ND GRAMMY AWARDS

Someone large and imposing approached James Hetfield, only a pair of dark sunglasses visible in the dimly lit corridors. The figure leaned in and murmured something in his ear.

Hetfield thought as he walked to his band's dressing room.

Pace quickening, he passed the producers' lounge. It was unlocked, as he had ensured it would be. Looking down both sides of the hallway to ensure he was alone, he opened the door and slipped inside. The lights were off, and it was dark, but he decided to flick on a small pocket flashlight instead of fumbling for the light switch-- it seemed more fitting for this sort of covert operation. Upon finding the envelope he was looking for, he opened it and read the contents of the card inside.

He quickly stuffed the envelope into his bag and pulled out an identical one, marked

Best Hard Rock Performance.

Once the swap was finished, he left the room, struggling to contain his anger. Instead of heading back to his dressing room to get ready for the awards ceremony, he decided that maybe a little detour was in order.

Alisae was checking the email one more time, just to make sure that it was real. If the band won at the Grammy Awards tonight, they would get the opportunity to participate in a "special project" involving several other famous musicians... this would be the exposure that they needed to get big. Really big. It was the opportunity of a lifetime.

The door slowly opened and Alisae turned around. The manager wasn't supposed to be here until half an hour later...

Quickly, the lead singer of Metallica approached and put a rag to Alisae's face. Slowly everything started to turn black, and Alisae struggled to get some last words out.
