Sorry, would rather risk the collision dice than worry about moving extra squares on the outside lane.

Question: You can't break and use slipstream on the same turn, right?

Slipstreaming rules:
The car behind must be as fast or faster as the car in
front, and both cars must be in 4th gear or higher.
The car must stop directly behind another car without
braking. He then adds 3 spaces onto his last move (he
may use brake WP to reduce the number of spaces). If
the move brings the car up behind another car, he may
carry on slipstreaming (and so on).
A car carried into a corner by slipstreaming loses 1
brake WP (move is not reduced).


I could not have slipstream because A: you cannot break and slipstream on same turn and B: JDGA and I were both in 3rd gear, not the required 4th gear.

If you brake to get into position, you can't slipstream. You can brake after getting the slipstream as usual, though.

Well considering collision's have a 50/50 chance of effecting you or the other car, that's not a lot of upside unless they have fewer collision points left.

Even then, there's only a 1/20 chance of actually damaging someone in the dry and in order to be able to even cause a collision you have to be neck and neck anyway, so as a strategy it's really iffy compared to just trying to race.
