I was under the impression he was replying to post in chronological order and you only explained how he knew Ceph was the intended kill because chronologically speaking, you only post it later. In post 3273, morph the cat wrote:Anyway, Chaiotzu was replying to posts starting where he left off, and first asked why we were strongly townreading bins. He made several posts before hitting our claim, and questioned how we knew Ceph was the intended kill last night.
Maybe that's aggressive scum trying to shake info out of us, but it's not my impression of his scum game.
Anyway, if he's scum, I feel like the only way that catchup would have happened the way it did was if the scumteam doesn't have daytalk, or if he were the first scum player to hit the thread after our claim."The debate on whether short multi postings or a long wall of post is good or not is like a debate on gun control--we would never understand each other and we have to make peace with it." -Realeo
I'm mabye a serious player, but I'm capable of joke. Ok?-

I agree his catch up was chronological. In post 3276, Realeo wrote:

Imagine yourself as scum catching up on your game. Going through chronologically, you hit the claim post he questioned. What do you do? skip ahead and try to figure out what's going on? Or post an immediate question?
And if you're scum with daytalk coming back to your game, what do you do first? Read the game thread or read your PT?
I don't think it's conclusive, but I do think it points a little in the direction of him being town.-

uh I hate to dispel thingIn post 3273, morph the cat wrote:On another but somewhat related note, we wondered whether Chiaotzu's reaction to our claim might be a town tell. It kinda hinges on whether there is daytalk or not.
I looked at the Laundry game, and one of the scum team was an encryptor. So errantparabola may not default to daytalk in designing games. Or may default to giving mafia an encryptor.

but I really don't think this is a good reason to discredit bad feels on Chiao
I mean there are so many other reasons
scum topics don't have to be super active
scum might not have daytalk
.. also like I don't think your claim is this game changing for anyone-

Isn't Creature is one of the most prime example who catch up chronologically regardless of alignment? pheww it's a bit hard because it's so glaringly obviously apparant to me - it's fundamentally a bad approach to scumhunting
soooo, let's see...
because no matter your confidence in a TR, you don't *know*, and it is a great way for good scum to infiltrate and destroy
they're unsoundbalance among all things-

But that's like saying, no matter your confidence in a SR, you don't *know* if they are scum so don't lynch them.
I agree that not all town blocks are equal, though."The debate on whether short multi postings or a long wall of post is good or not is like a debate on gun control--we would never understand each other and we have to make peace with it." -Realeo

On the gripping hand, is it a town player's first reaction to dig at a claim? He's the only player who overtly did that. I wondered if it was an ESL thing.
It doesn't really generalize, and probably depends on the player. I tend to tiptoe around PR tells and crumbs as all alignments. Claims are a little different.-

In a newbie game, that is kinda a strong town tell.In post 3286, morph the cat wrote:On the gripping hand, is it a town player's first reaction to dig at a claim? He's the only player who overtly did that. I wondered if it was an ESL thing.

In a non-newbie game, I have only seen that in action on games involving mason. I can't vouch for non-mason games."The debate on whether short multi postings or a long wall of post is good or not is like a debate on gun control--we would never understand each other and we have to make peace with it." -Realeo

Why you call it American Football when 99% of the time you keep it in your hand?"The debate on whether short multi postings or a long wall of post is good or not is like a debate on gun control--we would never understand each other and we have to make peace with it." -Realeo
